Kate Middleton fears Prince Harry marrying Cressida Bonas and bringing Isabella Calthorpe, the love of Prince William’s life close again. Kate Middleton has her circle of trust; relying on her mother, Carole Middleton, to help her navigate the royal revolution. While Waity Katie has learned to keep her friends close and her enemies closer, the Duchess of Cambridge’s love-hate relationship with Prince Harry often causes tension with Prince William.
Kate waited for 8 years to become Prince William’s wife. During their years of dating, William dumped Kate Middleton for Isabella Calthorpe and has been rumored to be the woman the Duke truly loved and wanted to marry. Isabella didn’t want to marry into the royal family and endure the constant stress and circus of press and protocol. As CDL reported Prince William had actually proposed to Calthorpe, but she turned him down.
Interestingly enough, Isabella is half-sister to Prince Harry’s on-again-off-again girlfriend, Cressida Bonas. Kate and Harry get on well enough, but when Harry rekindles his relationship with Cressida, the Duchess fears William will be tempted into a cheating scandal with Isabella Calthorpe. Last Spring, it appeared as though Prince Harry and Bonas were on the verge of becoming engaged, but Kate hasn’t forgotten the fact that Cressida’s induction into the royal family means an influx of temptation with Isabella. According to more rumors, the Duchess quickly went to work stopping the engagement. “Cressida has spoken to Kate about the expectations that come with being part of the royal family and how unbelievably busy she is… Kate’s been honest about her struggles and it’s been a lot for Cressida to process,” the source revealed.
It’s a safe bet Kate’s meddling doesn’t sit well with Harry, but the brother of Prince William is genuinely a good guy, despite his wild-child ways. His bond with William is strong, and there must be a level of understanding between the Kate and Harry, as the two are usually photographed having a laugh when they are together. In fact, Harry recently started dating Jenna Coleman, who has a strong resemblance to Kate Middleton.
Kate and Harry also have a shared distaste for Camilla Parker-Bowles, but a common enemy doesn’t always unite everyone. The Duchess, perhaps justifiably so, fears that Harry will bring Cressida Bonas, and subsequently Isabella Calthorpe, into the royal circle she is working hard to revolutionize. Another possible sign of stress is the fact that Prince Harry has not yet been named a godparent to either of Kate Middleton and Prince William’s two children. Perhaps distance is solely to blame for being passed over for Princess Charlotte’s christening, but the stress of feeling pulled between his wife and brother must be stressful for Prince William.
