Kate Middleton and the royal family are still raving about their newest addition, Princess Charlotte Elizabeth Diana – and it looks like this is just a precursor for what Prince George can expect for the rest of his life. Sibling rivalry is tough for any family, especially when the siblings are so close in age like Prince George and Princess Charlotte – but we might as well begin bracing ourselves now for the epic heir versus spare battle that is sure to ensue in the years to come.
We have seen it time and time again throughout the years when it comes to royal families – the firstborn child or heir, always takes precedent over the spare. In this case, Prince George is the heir, and he is set to take the Throne after his father Prince William. So, that means the world will be watching Prince George like a hawk, monitoring his every move, and completely forgetting about Princess Charlotte. As George and Charlotte get older – it will become painfully obvious to the kids that George is being held at a higher statute than his younger sister, and they will be fighting tooth and nail in no time.
Pals close the royal family already fear that Kate Middleton will take pity on Princess Charlotte being treated like the spare – and will spoil her and favor her over Prince George to make up for the lack of attention she receives from the royals. Obviously, Kate babying Charlotte because she is the spare will only cause more sibling rivalry between the Princess and her brother George. Normally members of the royal family simply accept their roles and the hierarchy they are born with, but Kate Middleton comes from a commoner family and will try to overcompensate for the way she thinks that Princess Charlotte is being overlooked by Prince William’s family.
Do you think that Princess Charlotte will be give the “spare treatment?” As she and Prince George get older will Charlotte be pushed aside as her brother steals all the limelight? Will Kate Middleton make the sibling rivalry worse by babying Charlotte because she is just the spare? Let us know what you think in the comments below!
