Kate Middleton’s brother James Middleton has broken up with Donna Air and is single and ready to mingle. According to new reports, the Duchess of Cambridge’s brother and his girlfriend of two years, model and TV presenter Donna Air have officially broken up and gone their separate ways. Although neither James nor Donna have officially confirmed their break-up, Air made post a cryptic quote on Instagram when news of their split hit the internet on Wednesday September 23.
James Middleton and Donna Air’s split actually happened a couple of weeks ago, according to The Sun’s inside sources close to the former couple. The insider dished, “The split happened a couple of weeks ago and it was James’ decision. ‘He just didn’t think it was going to go the distance. And I think his family were always very anti her being the future Queen of England’s sister-in-law.’ Everything seemed great between the couple last month when they were spotted putting on some major PDA in St. Bart’s, but not everything is always what it seems.
Does anyone else see the irony in this break-up though? The Middleton Family is worried about who James is dating and eventually marries, and whether they will make a good sister-in-law for Kate Middleton, the future Queen Of England. Isn’t that the pot calling the kettle black?
The Royals despise the Middleton Family, because they don’t think they are suitable to be the in-laws of the future King of England. Who are they to turn around and say someone isn’t good enough to be their in-law? And, seriously of all the scandalous women James Middleton could have been dating, Donna Air seems like one of the most well-behaved.
Nevertheless, Queen Elizabeth draws a hard line at entertainers and there was no way the monarch was going to allow one into the family. Look at how Prince Harry was forced to break up with Cressida Bonas when she made it clear that her entertainment career would not be forsaken to become Harry’s wife. Same here – James was undoubtedly told that he was NOT to marry a TV personality and the message most likely came from Kate Middleton repeating the gospel according to Queen Elizabeth.
