RECAP:
The Ladies of “Married to Medicine” are back for one last episode of the season to discuss the leftover questions as well show some of the footage that was cut in editing.
And so to start off the night, Andy Cohen wanted to discuss the whole “event” fiasco. A few of the women believed it should be the hostess’ prerogative to invite or disinvite anyone they feel would cause a problem. So naturally the biggest supporters for this were Simone and Quad.
Both of them have had some experience in the past with this exact issue and so they weren’t afraid to express their feelings about the matter out loud. And according to them, they felt that not every event should be all inclusive. In other words they wanted to know why everyone must always be included in everything.
Though Andy couldn’t help point out that when it was Simone and Toya fighting – Quad kind of stepped in and extended an invitation to Simone for Toya’s event. Now that wasn’t her place to do that and technically she interfered in what was going on between other. So it was sort of convenient for her to forget all about that.
And moving on to the next question, Andy asked Jackie about her “Fit Is the New It” program. Apparently viewers out there felt Jackie was pressuring her friends to become thin when truthfully Jackie says she’s tried to stay away from words such as “thin” or “thick”. Because all she does cares about is getting her friends and patients in their fittest condition. Hence the obstacle courses that she talked her friends into doing was more about having fun than actually gaining a six-pack.
Thus fit doesn’t necessarily have to mean skinny. Yet for Jackie’s friends such as Heavenly and Simone, they feel like Jackie does need pay more attention to her own fitness. And they want their friend to concentrate on getting at least eight hours of sleep every night so that she could be fit as well.
They’ve told her tonight that dealing with this group alone has already caused stress. So they advised her to find a way to decompress at the end of the day. And simply let her body relax.
But the one question that seems to have triggered quite a reaction tonight was the one about Heavenly and her daughter Alaura. Andy asked Simone about her opinion on the relationship and though she didn’t call the other woman a bad mother – Simone did say that right now in Alaura’s life she needs a mother more than a friend. And Heavenly didn’t take that too well.
She said no one was going to call her bad mother and that her daughter was wonderful just the way she was. Yet it’s important to note that Heavenly didn’t then go looking for a fight with Simone after she said that. She acknowledges that she was a good mother but then had the courtesy to say that about Simone as well.
And Simone thanked her for that.
Then, some old footage was released and it turns out that a lot had happened out in LA. And Jill for one definitely dropped the act once she was out there.
As some of us may recall, Jill and Lisa Nicole ahd been fighting about what had happened at the strip club right before that trip happened. So of course Jill was going to bring up that incident when she was sitting around the pool and merely gossip with the girls. However not everyone knew she was throwing around words like “pyramid scheme” in regards to Lisa Nicole from way back then.
They thought she first brought it up when they were all in the Caribbean because that’s when she and Lisa Nicole again went at it. Therefore they thought the comment had come about because of the heat of the moment. So to find out that she had been saying that about Lisa Nicole for quite some time meant she was kind of shady.
And it would surprise you to know that even Quad had been shocked by Jill’s accusation. At the time, she said she didn’t know that Jill had gotten down like that. But whether it was Lisa Nicole and Jill or Quad and Lisa Nicole – there was just this point in the season when all three ladies were fighting with each other over the silliest things that didn’t make sense to anyone else.
Take Mariah. Mariah had also had a background check down on her and it didn’t seem to bother her. She said she had nothing to hide and then expand on her point – she also stated that she didn’t think Quad and Lisa Nicole were really friends. She simply thought there were alliances and that their common interest had brought them together. But Mariah went on to say that looking back she wish she would have done background checks on some of the ladies.
She said it might have saved the trouble later on.
So after everything was said and done on this show – I don’t know why anyone expects to see personal growth.
