Tonight on Bravo, Married to Medicine returns with an all new Sunday, August 9 season 3 episode 8 called, “Invites and Dis-Invites.” We’ve got you recap down below! On tonight’s episode, Refreshed from her trip to La-La land, Quad Webb-Lunceford refocuses her energy on marketing her doggy fashion line. Meanwhile, Dr. Heavenly Kimes and her husband are at an impasse when he insists she’s spending too much time away from home.
On the last episode, Quad left the messy drama of Atlanta behind and jetted off to sunny California with Simone and Jill. Meanwhile, Jackie struggled to deal with her ailing father both as a daughter and a doctor. Lisa Nicole celebrated her son’s birthday with a fabulous cooking party but while the bash was in full swing, she dropped a bomb that left Heavenly and Toya in shock. Did you watch the last episode? On tonight’s episode per the Bravo synopsis “refreshed from her trip to La-La land, Quad refocuses her energy on marketing her doggy fashion line. Simone makes it clear that it’s her party and can do what she wants to when she disinvites Lisa Nicole.”

Heavenly has been taking on a lot recently and so on tonight’s episode of “Married to Medicine” her husband has suggested that she take a step back and maybe return some of that focus back onto her family.
But Heavenly is a new stage of her life. Her children are getting older and now is the time to do everything that she’s always dreamed of. And for her that means using her relationship counseling to start her own dating app.
Yet a new business on top of everything else simply feels like it’s going to be too much for Damon her husband. And truthfully the woman that she is now is not the woman that he married. So there have been a few fights here and there.
And their marriage could in one wrong move go the way many reality marriages have – right towards divorce.
Heavenly though is enjoying herself. She likes starting up new businesses and so far she’s been hearing great things on the app front. For instance, she hired a woman she’s worked with before to head it for her and they’ve already discussed cost.
Toya was actually shocked by the cost but Heavenly said thirty grand was doable. And that anything of quality was going to come with a hefty price tag. But back at home, she and Damon got into it after he said that she wouldn’t have enough time for her family if she was doing all of these things.
And while he may have a point about stretching herself too thin, Heavenly didn’t want to hear it. She felt like she had submitted to her husband for years and now that it was her turn – he wasn’t being as supportive as she would have been with him. So there she was thinking “what was the point of submitting all these years”.
However in true Heavenly fashion, she soon turned their argument around until she at least got her husband to reconsider his stance on her app.
So if the other issues, especially when it comes to this group, could be solved as easily then maybe there wouldn’t always be problems. Yet Heavenly couldn’t manipulate everyone else like her husband. Thus she later found herself in hot water with Jill and Jill’s husband.
See Toya wanted to throw a nice birthday party for her husband and that meant she invited everyone. Including Lisa Nicole and Quad. But Quad had showed up at Toya’s house earlier in order to tell her that she couldn not make it to the party if Lisa Nicole was going to be there as well.
And Toya was hurt by that but was ultimately able to overlook it seeing as her trued friends were going to make it the party anyways. However Jill and Heavenly were the first to arrive and the first to get into a disagreement after they brought up the whole strip club situation.
Heavenly was telling Jill that she felt like the majority of women that do strip are also prostitutes. And she said she felt this way because women in that positon often don’t know about the many other choices/options they do have. But Jill and her husband took offence to this. They both felt that Heavenly was making unfair assumptions and couldn’t sit back quietly while she did so.
So a fight could have started and it could have gotten ugly but luckily some of the other guests started to arrive before the argument couldn’t truly cross over that line.
And thankfully the party picked up with the arrival of the birthday boy. Thus Toya’s party for him started out as great as she wanted to make it. Her husband was having fun and it seems he truly appreciated how much his wife did in order for him to see everyone.
Toya and Simone had worked out their differences because they do like hanging out with each out as a foursome. So the guys were happy that they didn’t have to worry about any drama for once. And they were technically congratulating themselves, during the party, when argument broke out amongst the women.
Simone had made a point to invite all the ladies to a basketball game with the mothers vs the children and then she told Lisa Nicole that she wasn’t in fact invited when the other woman appeared to be getting excited about the event. So of course that created an issue. Because to be frank Simone was taking Quad’s side and she was accusing Lisa of being too out of control by laying her hands on someone else.
So the ladies got in an argument about taking ownership and that eventually caused Simone to walk away when she felt she had enough.
