Tonight on ABC the glitch and the glamor returned to the ballroom for another great season of Dancing with the Stars.  On tonight’s premiere episode Nastia Liukin and her professional dancer Derek Hough dance  the Foxtrot to “New York, New York” by Ray Quinn, featuring Ultra Love.  Did you watch tonight’s episode?  If you missed it we have a full and detailed recap, right here for you.  Did you miss any of tonight’s performance videos?  If you did we have them all, right here for you!

Nastia Liukin was an Olympic All-Around Gold Medalist at the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing, but winning five medals was only the beginning for this golden girl. After returning home, she graced the pages of countless magazines and appeared on various TV shows, while even being chosen as one of 2009’s most influential people. Liukin’s commitment to helping young girls with big dreams landed her a clothing line, SuperGirl by Nastia along with her very own gymnastics competition, The Nastia Liukin Cup.  Liukin is currently a junior and full-time student at New York.

Tonight’s two-hour premiere episode will kick off with a spectacular opening number featuring the entire celebrity cast, choreographed by Emmy nominated, Mandy Moore. Each couple will then perform a Cha Cha, Foxtrot or Jive, vying for America’s vote. One couple will be eliminated on Monday, March 23.

Judges’ comments: Carrie Ann: “I thought it was fantastic, but there was a lift and you should know better.” Len: “New York New York, it was sweet and delicious.” Julianne: “I thought it was an explosive first dance, you are going to have to work on your flexible upper back.” Bruno: “Be careful, you are so loose, that you have to reign in. It was spectacular.”
