Nikki Reed is currently freaking out about Ian Somerhalder and Nina Dobrev getting closer, and I can’t blame her. The latest reports coming from The Vampire Diaries set have Ian Somerhalder and Nina Dobrev getting ‘touchy feely’, which is a far cry from the very antagonistic relationship that they were embroiled in for the past two years. It took both Ian and Nina a very long time to move on completely, but Ian finally ended up getting a rebound girlfriend, Nikki Reed, and then proposing to her – after six months!
Granted, if he’s happy, he’s happy. But many people close to him had initially stated that he was just getting engaged to Nikki because it felt like the ‘right’ thing to do at this age in his life. He aint getting any younger, and if the rumors are true and Nina turned down his proposal, then he was just settling for the next girl who would agree to marry him.
But alas, if Nina and Ian are now getting close again, what are the chances of that reunion happening and both of them getting back together? Can you blame Nikki Reed for [allegedly] stalking both Nina and Ian – and apparently appearing on The Vampire Diaries set whenever she has free time – after hearing all this? All this time, she had the reassurance that Ian and Nina hated each other, even if they had to do romantic scenes together. But if that hate’s faded away, who’s to say that Ian won’t cheat on Nikki with Nina? I mean, it’s rumored that Ian cheated on Nina back in the day, so clearly cheating isn’t foreign to him. And if that’s the case, Nikki Reed’s jealousy and fear isn’t misplaced at all.
Update: regardless of what webloid Gossip Cop has to say, nobody close to Nikki, nor even Nikki herself would admit that she is insecure about her relationship with Ian – however, knowing that it was Nina who dumped Ian and that the two are working so very closely together and will be filming season 7 of The Vampire Diaries it is only natural that Nikki fear the possibility that Ian and Nina will get back together.
