Nina Dobrev and Nikki Reed are in a battle over Ian Somerhalder ever since Nina and Ian enjoyed some PDA on The Vampire Diaries set recently – is the engagement in jeopardy? Nina Dobrev and Ian Somerhalder are getting ‘touchy feely’ on the set of The Vampire Diaries, so of course Nikki Reed wants to meet Nina now. Never mind that the two used to be very good friends, and never mind that the friendship crumbled into tiny little pieces when Nikki Reed started going out with Ian Somerhalder. When one dates one’s ex-boyfriend, one’s friendship tends to fall apart.
And even though Nina and Nikki were content to go their separate ways and not be in touch all this time, things have changed after that report came out. Nina Dobrev and Ian Somerhalder getting close again is definitely a cause for concern, especially when looking at re-return rates for relationships in Hollywood. Many, MANY exes get back together, even after years of staying apart – who’s to say that Nina and Ian don’t want that reunion?
Of course, Ian and Nikki are technically in an engagement right now, which should be an obstacle, right? But if Ian and Nina really are getting close again, then there’s not much Nikki can do to stop it except for meet Nina and beg her to stay away. She could try giving her fiance an ultimatum, but Ian and Nina have to work together – how would that ultimatum fly? Not only do Ian and Nina have to work together, but they also have to act out various, unending romantic scenarios. Following that, one would imagine that Nikki Reed’s jealousy is at an all-time high after hearing that Nina and Ian were getting closer.
Plus, if Nina really wants Ian back, who’s to say that he won’t end up going back to her? We still don’t know why the two broke up, but one thing we did hear over and over again was that it wasn’t necessarily his decision. And if that’s the case, wouldn’t he come running back to Nina first chance that he got, even if it means calling off his engagement?
