16-year-old Meadow Walker, daughter of the late actor Paul Walker, recently took to Instagram to share a photo of herself and her father as a tribute to Paul Walker on Father’s Day.
The photo features a baby Meadow laying in the arms of her father, Paul Walker, as he kisses her on the cheek. The photo is paired with a simple message that reads, “happy Father’s Day.” The photo has gotten over 130,000 likes and has been commented on close to 5,500 times. All of these comments express their condolences for Meadow Walker and reveal that just seeing the photo and the simple caption brought tears to their eyes. We have to admit, it is hard to look at this photo without feeling a sense of grief for Meadow Walker.
Meadow Walker, who is only 16 years old, lost her father Paul a year and a half ago when Paul Walker lost control of his Porsche and collided with a tree in Santa Clarita, California back in November 2013.
This is not the first time that Meadow Walker has let us into her life. The daughter of Paul Walker has shared various pictures of herself and her father ever since his passing to mark the anniversary of his death, celebrate his birthdays, and just as a reminder of the loving relationship she had with her father.
Paul Walker spoke of his relationship with his daughter only two weeks before his tragic passing. He revealed that he and his daughter had a close bond. In an interview with Us Weekly regarding Paul Walker and Meadow Walker, Paul said, “I’m glad I had her at 25 because at 40 and 15, we’re matching up sweet. It’s just working. It’s perfect.”
Paul Walker’s legacy will continue to live on through his film franchise, The Fast and the Furious, and through his daughter Meadow Walker. Our hearts break for Meadow, and we know that it must not be easy to share such a special photo with the entire world.
