It’s no secret that Princess Diana and Prince Charles weren’t too invested in their marriage, and were both cheating with other people – Charles famously with Camilla Parker-Bowles. But, according to some new never-before-seen photos of the late Diana and Charles’s wedding day – Princess Diana never wanted to marry Charles in the first place. Some photographs were discovered from the big day back on July 29 1981, and they show Diana and Charles appearing miserable, and not even interacting with each other. The photos were snapped by a distant relative, Patrick Anson, and they are reportedly going up for auction on September 24.
According to this week’s August 31 edition of GLOBE Magazine, Princess Diana and Charles’s marriage was doomed from day one. A source close to the late Princess dished to GLOBE Magazine that Diana tried to get out of the marriage at the last moment – but it was too late, and she had to go through with it. The Royal Family insider explained, “She knew Charles was in love with Camilla, Diana was in tears as she confided in her sisters that she couldn’t marry him. But, her sisters told her it was too late to back out.”
Unbeknownst to Princess Diana, Charles was reportedly trying to get out of the wedding at the last minute too – but the royal family’s aide that he confided in told him that it was not an option. So, Princess Diana went ahead and married Prince Charles, knowing all along that he was already in a relationship with the very married Duchess of Cornwall, Camilla Parker-Bowles. And, according to GLOBE Magazine – it is very obvious in Patrick Anson’s photos that neither Charles or Diana was interested in getting married, and it’s clear that their marriage was doomed from day one.
