Queen Elizabeth is forcing Kate Middleton to go back to work – less than 6 weeks after she gave birth to Princess Charlotte Elizabeth Diana. There are definitely some perks to being a future Queen of England, but apparently there are some drawbacks too, like not even getting a month of maternity leave. Kate Middleton is currently hiding away at Amner Hall with Princess Charlotte and her big brother Prince George, but as far as Queen Elizabeth is concerned – Kate’s vacation is over.
According to the June 1 edition of Life & Style Magazine, Queen Elizabeth does not want another maternity leave fiasco like when Prince George was born – when Kate Middleton dared to not do any royal appearances for a whole 39 days after giving birth. According to Life & Style’s inside source, Queen Elizabeth “has gotten on Kate’s back about getting back to work. She thinks a month is more than enough time for Kate to take off before she should return to her royal duties.
Queen Elizabeth has already informed Kate Middleton that she will be on full-display for her June 13 Birthday Parade, and there is no way the Duchess is getting out of the big event. The public expects to see Kate there bright-eyed and bushy-tailed to celebrate the Queen’s birthday. We can honestly say we don’t envy Kate this week, she has just a few weeks after giving birth to pull herself together, take care of a newborn baby and a 2 year old, and somehow magically lose all of her baby-weight and show up for a parade looking well-rested and excited to be there. No pressure.
Do you think Queen Elizabeth is being a little excessive? Or is getting little to no time to recuperate after giving birth just one of the many prices one has to pay to be a member of the royal family? Let us know what you think in the comments below!
