Robert Pattinson Family Firmly Against FKA Twigs Engagement: Think FKA Using RPatz?

Robert Pattinson and FKA Twigs are engaged, with Rob at the ripe old age of 28 years old. In Hollywood, that’s like a 16 year old getting married, no? Of course, Robert Pattinson is clearly head over heels for FKA since he even bought her a promise ring, something he never did for Kristen Stewart. Of course RPatz never did that for KStew – and that is because Kristen and Rob only had a Twilight showmance!

Of course, we’re hearing that even though Rob’s and FKA’s friends are all very happy for them, Rob’s family isn’t as thrilled. No, that’s putting it lightly. Our sources are actually saying that they’re freaking out, and that they’re not sure that FKA Twigs is ‘the one’. For one thing, Rob once thought Kristen was ‘the one’, and we all know how that turned out, don’t we? For another, Rob’s family is worried about how much FKA Twigs used Rob for her career, and they’re allegedly worried about whether she’ll dump him once she doesn’t need him anymore.

We’ve all seen the famewhore tactics in play, haven’t we? The publicity stunts, the PDA, the accidentally-on-purpose photographs with the paparazzi, and the endless, endless amount of famewhoring. Sure, Rob seemed like he was going along with it, but let’s be real – FKA Twigs wouldn’t be nearly as famous as she is now without Rob’s support behind her. And Rob’s family knows that, and is understandably worried about their future together.

However, if Rob’s happy with getting engaged, then eventually, they’ll be happy. If he understands that FKA is [at least partly] using him for his name and his fame, then who are we to say that they won’t be happy together. It could easily be a mutually beneficial relationship – FKA Twigs gets fame, and Robert Pattinson doesn’t get 13 year old girls throwing themselves at him. Win win, right?
