FKA Twigs and Robert Pattinson have been inseparable for the past few months, but there are several rumors kicking around about them fighting over the Oscars. While I’m fairly certain that the majority of these rumors were started by disenfranchised Twi-hards, there’s no denying that Robert Pattinson and FKA Twigs are getting serious – and when a couple gets serious and starts talking marriage on a serious basis, they are bound to have, well, ‘serious’ fights.
For example, there are sources claiming that Rob and FKA are fighting because Rob refused to take her to the Oscars [or rather, the post-Oscar Vanity Fair party]. For him, it’s about how she’s already taking advantage of his connections and his industry credibility to help her own career, and he might have finally gotten sick of it. However, it’s also possible that she was busy, although I have a harder time believing this. This is the girl that’s literally built her career totally on her boyfriend’s name – you’re telling me she was busy on the biggest night in Hollywood, a night that she could have made some invaluable contacts and resources? These are all things that could and would have helped her significantly down the road, and she just.. passed up the opportunity to attend?
Call me a cynic, but I think it’s much more likely that Robert just refused to take her with him. He probably realized that his image was becoming too intertwined with FKA’s image to really exist on its own, and that’s never a good thing in Hollywood – especially not when Rob already has such a strong brand name, and he’s trying to show that he’s also a talented actor.
