Stevie J. has quit Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta! Stevie J. and his “wife” Joseline Hernandez have been starring on the VH1 reality TV show since 2012 as central cast members. But, according to new reports, Stevie J. is quitting and walking out on the show after his contract negotiations came to a stand-still. The musician posted a cryptic message on Twitter on April 27, and now MTO’s insiders are reporting that he will not be returning for the all new season.
On Monday, April 27 Stevie J. tweeted, “I’ve made others happy for the last 3 years, but now I am hitting the reset button. Goodbye ATL.” According to Media Takeout, Stevie J. was being paid $200K for the season – but he was demanding a massive raise and his own spin-off show for him and his wife Joseline Hernandez. When VH1 wouldn’t agree to his demands, Stevie J. had his attorney inform the network that he was not filming and quitting Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta.
There is no news yet on whether or not Joseline Hernandez will quit as well – both Stevie and Joseline have had serious money problems and have been allegedly struggling with an expensive drug habit, so it’s hard to believe that Joseline would kiss her Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta paycheck goodbye. Stevie was famous before the show came along, but Joseline was a nobody. If she quits Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta she will have absolutely no income.
One thing is for sure – the Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta producers are going to have to do some serious scrambling to find replacements for Stevie J. and possibly even Joseline – because they made up the majority of the drama on the show. What do you think of Stevie J. quitting Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta? Will Joseline quit too? Let us know what you think in the comments below!
