Supernatural continues tonight on the CW with an all new Tuesday February 10, season 10 episode 13 called “Halt & Catch Fire” and we have your weekly recap below. On the last episode, looking to get Dean (Jensen Ackles) out of the bunker, Sam (Jared Padalecki) found a case for him and Dean to investigate – people were disappearing into thin air with only their clothes left behind. Sam and Dean suspected fairies or angels, but the truth turned out to be much more shocking – Hansel (guest star Mark Acheson), from Hansel and Gretel lore, was kidnapping people and turning them into their younger selves to placate the evil witch (guest star Lesley Nicol). Unfortunately, Dean found this information out the hard way after he became Hansel’s next victim and reverts to his 14 year old self. Serge Ladouceur directed this episode written by Adam Glass. In Spencer, Iowa, a truck speeds down the road with two college kids inside. The driver asks the GPS to find him the closest Taco Town and the GPS says to turn right. He says “Trini” aka Siri always gets it right even though his GF says this is not the way. Trini tells him to keep driving straight even though the road ends in a bridge. He tells his phone to screw yourself and the phone tells him to screw himself then it says “Janet get out of the truck.” When it says it even more ominously, the girl flees from the truck.

The door locks snap down after she hops out, trapping Billy and then the truck races for the barrier ahead. Trini says “destination dead ahead” just as his truck goes plummeting down off the broken bridge and Janet screams out his name. Dean is noshing on a donut – actually it’s a croissookie. Half croissant, half cookie. Sam says Cass called and says he may be closing in on Cain but was distracted by riverboat gambling.

Dean thinks if Cain knew how to remove the mark, he would have removed his own long ago. Dean says they’re like a dog chasing its tail then shows Sam they have a case – it’s the possessed truck. They drive Baby to Kasem College to talk to Janet. Dean tells Sam he’s sorry he made him leave college. Janet says she already talked to the cops but they promise to make it fast so she can study for finals. She says the truck had a mind of its own.

She says the air went on full blast even though it wasn’t on then she says Trini went nuts. Dean has no clue but Sam says he gets it. Janet tells him it’s like a talking map and says Dean is so Gen X. He says Trini and the truck went all Christine and she’s confused but Sam it’s a Gen X thing. She says the truck was hell bent on killing Billy then also says his brother Joey was always arguing with him but Joey died in Afghanistan and there was no body to be buried.

She says the truck was Joey’s and Billy got it when he died. She says it was Joey’s pride and joy. She goes to take a call. They head to the junkyard to look for the remains of the truck. They find it and it’s all banged up. Dean spots the Semper Fi tag and they find ectoplasm on the seat. They get a reading and assume it’s Joey back from the dead. Dean says he gets it and Sam asks if he’d kill him if he drove Baby after Dean died. He says if he stunk it up with greasy taquitos he might.

They put gas all over the truck and set it aflame. Delilah and her roommate Julie are watching TMZ then Delilah says she’s going to the library to study. Her roomie says she doesn’t need to study because she’s #Blessed. Delilah says she doesn’t have to study because she’s screwing the TA and is a #Slut. She takes a selfie and sends it off then gets an invite to chat online. The text calls her a liar. She asks about what and it says 810 and then – you’ll pay.

Julie deletes the conversation but the 810 comes on the screen again. She shuts off her laptop but it comes back on. She starts to exhale cold frosty air then 810 appears on her screen again. She goes to the door but it’s locked and she can’t get it open. She screams. Her ethernet cable wraps around her beck and chokes her to death. Next day, the guys are back on campus. Dean is busy checking out all the cute co-eds.

They head to Julie’s sorority house and the local cop says Janet found her this morning and she was strangled by her cord. She says Delilah was really helpful and gave them all the passwords. She steps away. Sam wonders if this is Joey too or another ghost. They get another possessed reading on the laptop. Sam asks if it’s a ghost in the machine. Dean wonders how the ghost is jumping from one machine to the next. They ask if Delilah knows Billy and she says everyone on campus knew him.

They ask who would want to hurt Julie and she says no one. She also says they didn’t know Joey, Billy’s brother. Turns out Billy was president of Sigma Theta Delta (STD). Dean is thrilled to be eating in the campus cafeteria. Sam says he looked all over her social media accounts and found nothing but 50 Shades of Gray and selfies. Sam says he’s going through her deleted files and Dean is shocked you can see deleted files.

Sam finds the chat accusing her of being a liar at the time of death. PrincessElsa8 called Julie a liar and then the number 810. Sam wonders if it’s a date and Dean says maybe an area code or time. The area code is Michigan and then Sam finds three local addresses with the number 810 in them. Dean takes his stack of food to go. Sam says PrincessElsa8 is a third grader in Wisconsin who was fast asleep when Julie died.

They are parked outside one of the 810 addresses and see a woman leave the house. They follow her down the street. She has a trash bag in her hand and goes to the corner where she scoops up flowers. off of a roadside memorial. They flash their badges and she asks if throwing away flowers is a crime. She says her husband was killed at that spot in an accident nine months ago. She says she hates being reminded of his death so she takes the flowers.

Sam asks if she’s noticed anything strange after her husband’s death. Dean asks who’s leaving the flowers and she says a girl from campus. She says it’s a girl with long red hair. Sam reads the news about Andrew’s death and that he was a teacher who died on impact then burned up. They wonder what the connection was to Billy and Julie. He was cremated so there’s no body to destroy. Delilah tells Kyle that the feds called her again and says she thinks they no.

She wants to come clean but he says no way. She says first Billy, now Julie. He says it was just a crappy coincidence. He tells her to keep her mouth shut about it. She stomps out of his room and he gets a chat request from QTPie asking for a hookup. There’s a knock at his dorm room door and he goes to answer. No one is in the hall but a fat dude in a towel who says he didn’t knock. He goes back in and the door slams. His phone rings and a demonic voice asks what time is it. It’s 810.

His stereo cranks up horribly loud all on its own. The speakers start shaking and then the reverbrations get so drastic his nose starts bleeding. The glass in his windows blows out and he’s blown backward and blood gushes out of his nose, ears and eyes. Talk about death metal!

Sam talks to Delilah when Dean comes in and says it was death by decibel and says his brain was jellied. He says the clock in his room stopped at 810. Sam and Dean ask her to tell them about the wreck. She says Andrew’s accident wasn’t really an accident. Billy was texting and driving while Julie and Delilah were taking selfies. Billy and Kyle are tweeting and retweeting and then they almost hit a car. The car veers into a light pole and Delilah tells Billy to call 911.

He doesn’t and then a power line falls onto the car and it goes up in flames. The driver of the crashed car screams as he starts burning. Billy says she can’t call the cops since he already has a DUI. Julie agrees that it’s not their problem. Delilah says she’ll die next and it can’t be coincidence. They tell her it’s a vengeful ghost that’s coming to kill her. They put her inside a salt circle and says she has to stay inside until they take care of it. She asks if they’re Ghostbusters.

Sam says they have to figure out how he’s moving. Dean says the newspaper said he died in the wreck but Delilah’s description says he was electrocuted so Sam theorizes that Andrew is in the electrical lines somehow. Dean says it doesn’t match the truck death of Billy. Sam goes to investigate and leaves Dean with Delilah. He asks if she’s getting sleepy but Delilah says she’s used to all nighters. She says she thinks about Andrew all the time and she’s never even met him. She says she has nightmares.

Sam goes to look at the light pole that Andrew hit when he died and looks around. Dean says he can relate to what she’s going through. He says he’s made more mistakes than he can count that haunt him day and night. She asks how he deals and he says whiskey and denial then says he tries to make things right whatever that means. He says maybe she needs to come clean and ask for forgiveness and not just leaving flowers. He says you can’t just bury stuff like this.

Dean’s phone rings and Sam says he’s not using power lines, he’s using WiFi. He says the wires that electrocuted him feed WiFi. Dean says – even ghosts are online. Sam says his ghost must have hopped onto Trini’s WiFi signal. Sam says he needs to get Delilah somewhere safe and turn off all the routers. Dean asks if we can turn off the internet and Sam says no. He asks how they can deal with the Lawnmower Man (another Gen X movie reference). Sam says he has an idea and ends the call.

She says she doesn’t know where the routers are then the lights flicker and we see Andrew’s half-burned face on her computer screen. She screams. Dean smashes the laptop then another screen. He tells her to turn off all her WiFi. Andrew is on her phone and he beats that to death too. Sam goes to talk to Andrew’s wife and she asks if this is about her husband then asks him inside. Dean tells Delilah they have to go somewhere with no WiFi. She says the reception sucks in the basement and they run for it.

Dean pours salt under the door and then says there’s no signal there so Andrew can’t bypass the salt, hopefully. He also salts the windowsill. The wife tells Sam that Andrew started contacting her online after his death. She says at first she thought it was a prank but then he told her things only they would know like inside jokes and their alarm code. She says she had her hubby back even if it was just online. Sam asks if she asked what he was and she says she knew he was a ghost or something but didn’t care.

She says it was great having him back. She says he sent her loves notes and they’d chat all night. She says then he started acting strange. She says there was radio silence then he’d start emailing again but was different. She says Andrew was focused on revenge. She says when the kids at the college started dying, she thought it might be him but couldn’t call the cops and tell them her husband’s ghost was picking off co-eds.

She says she knew it was revenge that brought him back and she worried he would go away if she tried to stop him. She says she didn’t want to lose her husband again. Dean tells Delilah to stay calm. They hear a buzzing sound and he looks around. He finds a cell phone under a couch cushion and then suddenly Andrew is there. He knocks Dean back while Delilah tells him she’s sorry and would do it differently if she could do it over. He tries to choke her then Dean knocks him off her.

Andrew disappears. Dean tells him the more he kills the crazier he’ll get and says the blood fuels the rage. He texts 911 to Sam then tells Andrew he can move on and have peace or stay and have pain. They hear nothing then Andrew is behind Dean and throws him through a closet door. Andrew chokes Dean then Delilah holds out her phone. His wife is on it. She tells Andrew that revenge is pointless and won’t bring him back. She says it’s time for him to let go and for him to do the same.

She begs him to stop. He lets go of Dean and she says – do this for me and for us. Andrew nods then she says goodbye and Andrew disappears in a puff of pink glittery magic. Delilah and Dean heave a sigh of relief. Dean and Sam drive Delilah to Corey’s house. She says she should have done this a long time ago. She goes in to talk to Andrew’s wife to tell him what happened. Corey invites her inside to talk. Sam says Andrew wasn’t the only one who chose peace. Dean says he’s going to follow his lead.

Sam asks what he means and Dean says his peace is working cases and helping people and that’s all he wants to do. Sam asks if this is about the mark and Dean says he’s done looking for a cure. He says they don’t even know if there is one. He says maybe Cass is on to something with Cain, maybe Metatron knows something, maybe, maybe, maybe. Sam asks if he’s just going to give up. Dean says he appreciates the answer but says the answer is with him, not out there.

Dean says he can’t have false hope and needs to know where he stands so he can stay sane. He says he’s going to fight it until he can’t fight anymore. Then, he says, he’ll go down swinging. He cranks Baby and they roll out.

THE END!
