US Weekly’s latest cover is all about the Giudices, with a cover photo showing Teresa Giudice, Joe Giudice, and their two older daughters posing as though everything was just fine and dandy in their lives. Don’t be surprised if Bravo started shilling a TV show about keeping up with the Giudices in prison next…
Anyway, the US Weekly story has a lot of detail about how Teresa Giudice’s life has changed since she went to prison – particularly, how she’s had to make do without her usual list of luxuries. In fact, the US Weekly photoshoot goes out of its way to make Teresa look as dreary as possible, without her hair straightened and her usual mountain of makeup. Don’t get me wrong – she’s still wearing makeup, but it’s a clear attempt to gain sympathy from the public by showing her looking as dreadful as possible [on purpose].
Joe Giudice also tries to garner his share of sympathy by telling US, “I cry more than the girls. I pretty much cry every time I leave. Like a little baby.” Oh yeah, Joe was so devastated over the loss that he went to Atlantic City and spent all their money on gambling and hooking up with cocktail waitresses. I’m sure he spent the entire time there ‘crying’ as well…
The mere fact that Joe Giudice and Teresa Giudice think that posing on US Weekly – and that too, from prison – is a good idea shows you how out of touch they are. They are in prison because of fraud, not because they’ve decided to take a little vacation away from reality. They’re acting as though this was some involuntary situation that they were forced into, when it was their crimes based upon greedy illegal decisions that led them there.
