The Bachelor 2015 spoilers elaborates on Season 19 swain Chris Soules’ net worth and what winner Whitney Bichoff has to look forward to financially in the unlikely event she marries the Bachelor. Chris Soules may be The Bachelor, but that doesn’t mean that he has an endless amount of money at his disposal and rumors are that he is moving to California for a Hollywood career. According to Celebrity Net Worth, Chris Soules’ wealth is estimated at $1.5 million. However, recent reports have confirmed that Chris’ fortune might be in jeopardy because his small town economy is declining.
The explanation from Vox reads, “In 2014, the value of Iowa cropland slid by 8.9 percent, its fastest decline in 28 years, as the Register reported in December. That’s happening because commodity prices are plummeting after a meteoric rise in the last few years. Ethanol, drought, and increased Chinese demand for corn (in the form of corn-fed animals) were just a few factors that drove corn prices sky-high. But thanks in part to bumper crops this year, corn prices are falling — and as corn prices go, so go land prices in the upper Midwest.”
Um, Chris Soules is getting paid AT LEAST high six-figures to star on The Bachelor 2015 – I guarantee you, falling corn prices and falling land prices in Iowa are the last of his worries right now. Plus, even though he seems intent on going back to Iowa with his intended fiance, there are rumors that he’s actually secretly moved to California. It would make sense – usually, Bachelor and Bachelorette alumni try to land more reality shows and take advantage of their Bachelor season to become even more famous. Chris Soules might try to land a Dancing with the Stars gig, he might try to end up on Couple’s Therapy with his fiance, or he might even try to launch a movie career. Whatever it is, he can’t do it from Iowa as a broke farmer, no?
