The latest “The Bold and the Beautiful” spoilers reveal that the past could come back to haunt some characters—literally! Rumors are swirling that Susan Flannery could be stepping back into the role of Stephanie Forrester sometime in the future. Since Stephanie died back in 2012 after falling ill, B&B fans might wonder how the writers would explain her return. However, anything can happen on a soap.
Why not have Stephanie surface as a ghost in the Forrester mansion? She could easily show up to give Rick (Jacob Young) a scare he’d never forget. He deserves the fright more than anyone for removing the Forrester matriarch’s portrait and replacing it with one of Maya (Karla Mosley). Stephanie could even hang her own picture back up where it belongs. Maybe that would finally bring Rick down a notch.
Regardless of how Stephanie’s return would be written, many B&B viewers would happy to see her back in town. Unfortunately, Bradley Bell, the executive producer of “The Bold and the Beautiful,” has denied the rumors. TV Week Logie Awards reports he’s indicated we won’t be hearing any confirmed “Bold and the Beautiful” spoilers about a blast from the past. Bell said he hasn’t discussed the possibility of Susan Flannery returning and he doesn’t plan on continuing her storyline. He added that he’s “happy with the way it ended.”
Susan Flannery certainly did have a good run. She exited the show after 25 years and perhaps Bell is just trying to honor her legacy. He noted that he thinks she “made her final bow” and he wants “to respect that.” Still, B&B viewers can dream. Nearly everyone would enjoy watching Stephanie scare the pants off Rick on a cold, dreary night. Stick with “The Bold and the Beautiful” just in case. After all, never say never.
