Elijah says it’s true that his sister is in Eva’s body. He vows to find whoever is responsible and serve them justice. He asks the witches to leave. Josephine says he has 24 hours and then she won’t be able to stop the witches from seeking justice. Elijah meets Klaus who says Freya will be there soon. Klaus says he sent Hayley and the wolves out to test their new abilities.
Elijah says they need Freya’s help so he needs to back burner whatever he planned for today. Then Freya is there and Klaus welcomes her and says to be comfortable. Marcel greets Vincent who says he knows he’s giving him magic blocking herbs. Marcel says he needs answers and Vincent says he can’t keep him there since he’s a Treme witch and says they’ll want him back. Marcel says they do and wanted him back nine months ago. He shows him a news story about when he went missing.
Vincent asks what he did to him and Marcel tells him Finn possessed his body and made lots of enemies while wearing it. Marcel says he’ll tell him about it after he tells him about Eva Sinclair. Vincent refuses to talk. Davina is annoyed that Rebekah wants her to drop everything and help her sort her dreams. Davina says she’s been busy since Kol died. Rebekah says she can’t help Kol if the witch whose body she’s in takes it back from her. She tells her to check Kol’s codex.
Elijah doesn’t want to make small talk and Klaus says they were hoping for more info on Dahlia. Freya says she’s the most powerful witch she’s ever seen. She says they only get one year of life in a century. She says Dahlia will come to take Klaus’ daughter’s power. Freya says her one chance to be free is to align with them to kill Dahlia. She says Dahlia used her to form a new brand of connective magic. She says there were bonded and then Dahlia was unstoppable.
She says Dahlia slew a nearby village that accused her of witchcraft. She killed men, women, children with a wave of her hand. She says since then, Dahlia has grown stronger. Elijah gets a call from Rebekah. She says she’s on the way but then Eva tries to take back the body again. Rebekah collapses to the ground. Out in the bayou, Aiden and Jackson spar to test their mettle. Jack says he’s getting faster. Aiden bites him when he goes for a headlock.
Aiden reminds him he’s leading superwolves and says he has to always stay strongest. Hayley says the macho stuff is cute and says she can still kick both their asses. Jack says to speak up if he has problem with how he leads. Aiden says they’re stronger and says if any see Jack as vulnerable, they’ll challenge him. Aiden says he’s looking out for Jack. Klaus says Dahlia sounds dreadful. Elijah asks what her weaknesses are and she says she’s paranoid.
Freya says Dahlia vowed never to be weak again. She says she intended to form a coven of Esther’s first borns but then Esther ended her blood line by making them Originals. Then Freya says she vowed never to have children for Dahlia to control. She says the harder she resisted, the harder Dahlia fought to control her. She says Dahlia took the last of her freedom from her. Dahlia told a teenage Freya to take her hand. Dahlia tells her they will sleep for a century then wake with untold power.
She grabs Freya’s hand and chants. Freya tells them they slept and then woke 100 years later filled with immense power. She says it’s gone on for 10 centuries. Klaus asks why she hasn’t just killed herself. Freya says she did but Dahlia wouldn’t give her that freedom. She says the spell makes her immortal and impervious to harm. She says she is like them a creature of great power cursed for all time. Marcel wants Cami to work with Vincent but Cami isn’t happy to deal with the guy who looked like Finn.
Marcel has them bring Finn in and Vincent demands to know what’s going on. Marcel introduces him to Cami and tells him to be nice or he won’t be. He says he’ll be outside. Cami asks if he wants to sit. He doesn’t. Vincent says whoever she is, it won’t work. He says he doesn’t break for vampires or whatever she is. She says the guy who was in his body was obsessed with her. She says if he doesn’t want to know the truth, that’s fine. But she says she had a front row seat and can tell him what happened.
Rebekah’s phone rings and she comes to but is wracked with pain. She answers and he says he expected her hours ago. She says she lost track of time and doesn’t know where she is. She looks around and sees she’s in some ramshackle industrial area. Jack and Hayley spar and she asks if he’s thinking about what Aiden said. He says the pack is changing and he wants them to know he’s there for him. Hayley tells him to turn on is backwoods bayou charm and remind them they love him.
Jack tells her he doesn’t trust Klaus and says he thinks they’re his personal army but Hayley says she can handle Klaus. She reminds him they don’t have to go through this alone. She takes his hand and kisses him. Rebekah tells the brothers about Eva and Elijah wants to elicit Freya’s help but Klaus isn’t ready to trust Freya. But Elijah says neither he or Klaus have the skills to help her. Elijah says they need to give Freya the benefit of the doubt.
Vincent tells Cami he woke up last night with no clue where he was or what happened. Cami says Finn terrorized the cities, tried to steal an innocent child, executed his brother and was just a bad guy. She tells him that he was violated profoundly and personally. He asks if he should feel bad or guilty. He rants then sits and says he’s sorry. Cami tells him he’ll be okay. He asks if he hurt her. She says he didn’t do anything and all he can do now is move on.
Vincent is distraught. Freya greets Rebekah warmly and she says Elijah explained the problem and says she can help. Klaus says she seems overconfident. Freya says she’ll put her in a deep sleep then suppress the other witch. Klaus mocks and Rebekah says she’s trying to help. Klaus wants to have Davina vet her magic but Freya says she doubts the girl would understand or be able to work her magic. Freya says he’ll have to learn to trust her if they’re to face Dahlia together.
She asks for a chance to earn his trust. She says she has dreamed of all of them for 1000 years. She says she sang to Elijah when he was in Esther’s womb. Freya says between Esther and Dahlia her wish for brothers and sisters was ruined for her. She says nothing can replace what was taken but says they can make something better in its place if they will truest her. Klaus snaps her neck. He says now they can have a proper family meeting. Rebekah and Elijah are horrified.
[2015-03-16, 11:32:38 PM] Rachel Rowan: Rebekah asks Klaus if that was necessary and Elijah says it was ridiculous even for him. Klaus says if she was telling the truth about being immortal, no harm done. Klaus says she spins a sad yarn and they fall for it. He says it’s exactly what he would do. Rebekah says she can’t help them now and suggests Marcel. Elijah says he hopes that Klaus is choosing not to trust Freya out of reason, not fear. Vincent looks out the window and Cami says Marcel has the best view.
Vincent tells Cami he was born and raised in the Treme. He says then there were vampire troubles then worse and he gave up on being a witch. He says that’s why he was easy prey for Finn. He tells her to get Marcel back in there so he can tell him about Eva Sinclair. Freya wakes and Klaus says her restorative powers are slow. Klaus says he has to be sure she was telling the truth. He brought her elsewhere and he says he rejects her as sister. He says he thinks she wasn’t forthcoming.
He says Elijah and Rebekah are naïve and he knows this because they keep trusting him. He calls her sister and says she has one last chance to tell the full truth. He tells her not to much it up. Freya says she hates Dahlia over a man named Mathias. She says she knew him in the 1400s and she loved him more than life and Dahlia allowed it. She says she tried to steal from Dahlia what she wanted most – her son. She says Dahlia cursed Mathias to death.
Freya took a bottle of poison and drank it. Dahlia accused her of taking what she owed her. Freya says Dahlia knew but Freya only then learned that she could never die. Freya woke and cursed that she was alive. Dahlia says the spell did not protect her child, only Freya. We see Freya crying bitterly over the loss of her child. Dahlia comforted her and says she will forgive her eventually but tells her there is no escape for either of them, not even in death.
She says Dahlia turned her into a monster and she will destroy her for it. Klaus says she told that tale to garner his sympathy but he says he won’t be moved. She says Dahlia is coming no matter what. She says without her, Dahlia will render him to ash and take his daughter. She says he only stands a chance with her. Klaus says she better never try to control him again or spend the rest of her immortal life regretting it. She tells him to rethink his alliances as he goes forward and tells him to leave.
Elijah and Rebekah shows up to meet Vincent. She tells him that she’s not Eva, but Rebekah. She asks who he is and he says he’s Vincent. She asks about Eva. He says he never thought to see Eva again when they put her in Fauline Cottage. He says Eva was his wife. Rebekah says that’s bloody fantastic. Hayley finds Klaus drinking and says they need to talk. He asks if she’s there to express gratitude. She says they need to put tension behind them and tells him to stop giving Jack orders.
She says to give him room to let Jackson be alpha. Klaus says she can’t think he won’t let Jack control the wolves. Klaus says he’s had a rough day and says there is only one person he trusts with their child’s safety and that’s him. He says if Dahlia is coming, only he will decide how to protect her. He says if anyone steps out of line, they will pay the price. He tells her if Jack incurs his wrath again, she will only have herself to blame for what happens.
Cami pours Vincent a drink and she says Marcel let him out. He says he has a sense of reciprocity for a vampire. Vincent says he wants nothing to do with Eva and tells her to stay away from that crowd. She says she’s heard that advice before but says we do better in this town when we’re not alone. She pours him another. They clink glasses. Marcel walks Rebekah home and she thanks him for the courtesy. She says it’s funny that she’s stuck in a body that may swallow her whole.
She’s worried Josephine will lock her back in the witch asylum and says she’s vulnerable for the first time in ages and is genuinely afraid. He tells her it’s okay to be scared and says they are all vulnerable but says she’s definitely not weak. He says Klaus is the smartest person he’s met, Elijah the stuffiest and she’s the strongest. He says that’s true no matter what body she’s in. She asks for a drink and he goes to pour. While he’s gone, she has a seizure thing and thinks about carving a kid’s head.
He comes back and asks if she’s okay. She says she keeps having memory flashes. She asks him to stay and keep an eye on her. She holds him close. In a warehouse, we see bodies lying about including what looks like Davina with her head carved up. Klaus comes to see Elijah’s new place across the river. He says he wanted to tell Elijah that he was moved by his appeal to trust Freya. Klaus says he sees only anger and fear in her eyes. He says she’s a damaged creature.
Elijah says they can use her but exercise caution. Klaus agrees and Elijah says if Freya betrays them he will bury her beneath a 1000 wretched torments. Klaus wonders what if Freya is already betraying Hope. Klaus says if something happens to Hope, he knows Elijah would never forgive himself. Elijah says Dahlia is coming the only question is when. We see the music box near Hope’s bed wind up and flip on all by itself.
