Can Alex Kane find Solomon Desai before the Triad do and Save His life? That’s the bet on tonight’s episode of “The Player” and unfortunately for Kane this mission had to be low on tech.

Solomon Desai was a child prodigy. He helped set up an illegal drug trafficking site on the dark web and had to make a deal with Interpol to evade imprisonment. However since those days Solomon had grown up yet he hasn’t become wiser.

Recently he hacked into the Pentagon and installed a virus into what was supposed to be the most impenetrable in America. So the gamblers are invested in this young man. Especially as he appears to have done the impossible. Though Solomon didn’t just do what he did because he has a problem with the Patriot Act and the NSA. He’s an anarchist but he’s also an anarchist with a price. A price the Chinese government were willing to match by the way.

According to case file that Kane received, they found Solomon and paid him to deliver their virus into the Pentagon’s mainframe. And while that’s all very good for them, they apparently didn’t want Solomon around to tell the tale or possible reverse what they did. So they enlisted the Shui Kao Triads to go after the young man and a bunch of gamblers were enjoying themselves as they waited to see who reaches Solomon first.

And boy were a lot of them pleased when it turned out that Kane found Solomon first. He had to dispense several triads hired guns to get to kid but he eventually did. Then he had to find a way to get Solomon to the Indian Consulate without the triads or the NSA stopping him.

The NSA had gotten the same intel as Kane did so they wanted to bring Solomon in alive to remove the virus. Yet for some reason Solomon kept on denying he was the one to put a virus into the Pentagon’s mainframe. He said he did break in but that the virus had already been there.

And that just did not make sense. If Solomon was telling the truth then who was framing him and why was the triads so willing to go along with it if they’re government hadn’t given them a direct order?

Funnily enough Johnson may have gotten answer about why the triads were given the go-ahead. The man that controls all of the triads’ movements in Las Vegas also happens to be a gambler. Specifically he had placed a three million dollars on the Alex Kane bet and that was breaking house rules. Johnson had to inform the other man that the rules clearly states that no one could place a stake on a bet they have a personal interest in. So Johnson left after he said there wouldn’t be a second warning but he warned as well. Johnson was told that maybe he wouldn’t be running the house for that much longer.

Though truthfully it didn’t matter if Solomon was guilty or innocent. Not to Kane anyways. Protecting Solomon was taking so much work that he ultimately felt like the safest place for the kid was the NSA. So Kane was willing to throw the bet and risk upsetting Johnson.

There simply came a time when he knew he couldn’t make it to the Indian Consulate without any actual backup and so he did what was best for an albeit misguided kid. He handed over Solomon to an NSA agent. And thankfully by then the NSA knew it wasn’t Solomon that had implanted the virus. It seems the reason continued to pursue Solomon was not because of anything, in fact they needed his help in figuring how to get rid of the virus in the mainframe.

Only just when Kane thought Solomon was safe, NSA turned out to have a double agent in its ranks. So Solomon found himself handed over like package to the triads.

And normally there was nothing anyone could do to stop them. However the bet wasn’t over. Johnson called Kane to fill him on what happened which then led to Kane reentering the game. See, as long as Solomon was alive then that meant the bet was on.

So Kane found Solomon again with Cassandra’s help and they managed to stop the triads from shipping him to a different country. Though to fully complete the job, Cassandra left the offices and “represented” Solomon in a meeting with the official NSA. And she got him a good deal.

Solomon agreed to help them and in exchange he demanded that they give him a new laptop and immunity for his otherwise harmless hacking. And later when he wanted to return the favor to Kane – he helped Kane figure out that Ginny had hidden a phone number in her pictures. So Kane called it and to his delight it was his wife that answered.

Ginny was alive but someone was holding her against her will and that same number was disconnected after Ginny was made to hang up on Alex.

THE END!
