RECAP:
Briana is upset about Brooks’ presence in their home.
Vicki says in confessional that it’s hard living two lives, one with her family and one with Brooks. She says she isn’t going to break up with him and Briana isn’t going to accept him, so they are going to have to agree to disagree.
Briana says in confessional that a friend showed her a video of Vicki holding Brooks’ hand on the family couch and laughing while saying that if Briana doesn’t know Brooks is moving in, she does now. She asks how it has gone this far, how Brooks is living in the family home she was raised in.
Meghan has decided to be more of a friend to Briana than a mother.
Shannon and David meet with a counselor to work on their ailing marriage. The counselor praises David for not running from the situation, and Shannon for not living in her anger and pain. Shannon says in the last couple weeks she has had days go by where she doesn’t think about it.
The counselor encourages David to be more “touchy feely” with his emotions. David says he is more open and honest than a lot of people, and Shannon breaks down into tears. She says this has reminded her of when David told her that when he was with the woman he had an affair with, he could say things to her that he couldn’t say to Shannon. David says that’s not what he was referring to, and Shannon says she knows but it still affects her.
The counselor encourages Shannon by reminding her that David is here with her right now.
David tells the counselor that it’s easy to walk away instead of staying and dealing with the shame.
Heather, Shannon and Tamra go to a restaurant together.
Tamra announces that she now has a joint bank account with David. She asks how she is going to spend money he doesn’t know about anymore.
The three discuss Heather and Terry’s HSN segment, on which they sold their skin care products. Tamra tells Heather that the product apparently cures cancer as well, having found that it’s what Brooks has been using in the treatment of his alleged cancer. Heather tells them that he said he was just doing the treatment in preparation for going back to chemo.
Tamra tells the others about the alleged medical documents that Brooks and Vicki showed her, which she says consisted of a ton of text with no punctuation.
The others question why she was the one they chose to ask, asking why they wouldn’t want Terry or Shannon there to look at the documents.
Shannon says she doesn’t know where her friendship with Vicki currently stands.
Tamra brings up that she is supposed to be talking to Briana about accepting Brooks.
Shannon says she doesn’t want to get emotional, but sitting there with them is not something she thought she would be able to do. She says she feels so bonded to the two of them, and that there are a lot of things she doesn’t want people to know but she wants to share with them that David had a long-term affair that they are doing their best to try and work through.
Heather and Tamra both reveal in confessional that they already knew about this affair.
Heather tells Shannon that they feel honored she is sharing that with them, but then tells her that the topic had been brought up between them at lunch. Tamra says she was not gossiping, but it was rather a conversation of concern. Shannon says she understands, adding in confessional that the fact neither of them shared the rumors when they heard them proves they are true friends.
Tamra and Briana meet at a restaurant.
Briana says in confessional that she likes Tamra because she is no bullshit and you always know where you stand with her.
Briana tells Tamra about how things are not going so well, and Tamra tells her that Vicki told her in Tahiti that she would like her to talk to her about Brooks.
Tamra says she got to a point in the past year where she let it go. Briana says she tried to, and she isn’t going to bring Brooks up with her mom.
Tamra asks her if Brooks is around her kids or her, and she says no. She says she never wants to see him again.
Tamra asks if Brooks is close to her side of the family and her grandma. Briana confirms that Brooks doesn’t have a relationship with anyone in the family. Tamra decides that Vicki is “delusional” because she had told her that Brooks was on good terms with Briana’s grandmother.
Tamra then brings up the fact that everyone believes Brooks is fooling Vicki about his cancer.
They discuss that Brooks claimed to have been in remission from pancreatic cancer in the past.
Briana, an ER nurse, says that if someone has recovered from pancreatic cancer and is now walking around at a cocktail party they need to be in a textbook. She then says in confessional that Brooks confessed he actually had pancreatitis, which can be caused by alcohol abuse.
Tamra brings up whether Brooks would be recommended to go to the hospital for his PET/CT scan, and Briana says she thinks he would.
Tamra gets ready for her baptism by looking for a dress with Vicki.
Tamra asks Vicki how Brooks is doing, and she says he is going to be doing a ‘bone marrow aspiration’ or some shit. She says she will not be going to the appointment as Brooks’ friend will be taking him.
Tamra says that she is being asked questions about Brooks’ cancer that she can’t provide the answers to, meanwhile they are still doubting. Vicki says they can doubt if they want to, calling their doubt ‘Satanic.’
Vicki says she told Brooks she would not be talking about this anymore because this is about Tamra’s day.
Tamra tells Vicki about her meeting with Briana, and Vicki is not at all surprised that her daughter still won’t accept him.
Tamra finally has her baptism.
While she is getting her hair and makeup done, Shannon calls her on the phone and tells her that she’s getting a colonic at the moment.
Shannon struggles with her colonic, getting a piece of the tube stuck in her butt.
She ends up finding out that the piece had actually fallen into the toilet.
In the car on the way to Tamra’s baptism, Shannon tells David that Tamra has improved as a person so she supports her choice. She says what she is worried about is seeing Vicki, with whom she hasn’t spoken since they argued at lunch. She says they had never not been supportive of Brooks.
Shannon says there is a potential he was not ill and her friend duped her.
