“The Young and the Restless” spoilers for Monday, August 31, tease that Ashley (Eileen Davidson) will be suspicious when Jack (Peter Bergman) offers her the co-CEO position. They’ll argue about it and Phyllis (Gina Tognoni) will eventually chime in. Later, Jack will decide Ashley needs to be the sole CEO. Ashley will be stunned by the news, but she’ll decide it’s something she really wants. After Ashley accepts, Phyllis will question Jack about his motives for stepping down. Phyllis will suggest this is about keeping what happened with Marco (Peter Bergman) a secret. Jack will acknowledge that he wants to keep that under wraps, but this is mostly about focusing on his relationship with Phyllis. Besides, Jabot will be in good hands with Ashley.
Victor (Eric Braeden) and Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) will continue their feud over her fashion line. Victor will once again make it clear the Chelsea needs to stay in Genoa City and she’ll stomp off. Victor will make some ominous comments to Gabriel (Justin Hartley) about what he’d be willing to do for Chelsea. Later, Chelsea and Gabe will inadvertently walk in on the surprise wedding party. Chelsea will catch the bouquet after Sage (Kelly Sullivan) throws it. Gabriel and Chelsea will think they should go, but Sage will urge them to stay for the celebration.
Nick (Joshua Morrow) will also have a chat with Mariah (Camryn Grimes), who’s feeling a little down about her lack of a wedding invite. Mariah will say she understands because she isn’t a family member. Nick will indicate that it’s good Sharon (Sharon Case) has Mariah in her life. Meanwhile, Victor will remind Marisa (Sofia Pernas) that Noah (Robert Adamson) wouldn’t be pleased about her ex causing Courtney’s (Kelli Goss) death. Victor will add that he’ll give Marisa $500,000 to leave Genoa City. Noah will ask what Victor said to her, but Marisa will quickly change the subject.
Other “Young and the Restless” spoilers reveal that Billy (Burgess Jenkins) and Victoria (Amelia Heinle) will have another spat over Victor. These two may still be on the road to reconciliation, but it’s going to be a bumpy ride. As for Abby (Melissa Ordway) and Stitch (Sean Carrigan), they’re trying to get back on track. However, Ashley’s feelings could derail Stitch’s current relationship. When Abby plants a steamy kiss on Stitch, Ashley will keep an eye on them from nearby.
Devon (Bryton James) will return from his honeymoon without Hilary (Mishael Morgan). Michael (Christian LeBlanc) will give Neil (Kristoff St. John) updates on the situation. It seems Devon may soon be extradited for murder thanks to the blood evidence on Hilary’s shoe. Neil will ask Victor to help Devon out of this mess by keeping him off the island. Back at the wedding party, Sage will be excited about joining the Newman clan. Adam (Justin Hartley) will try to plant some seeds of doubt. Sage will get annoyed when Adam tries to suggest that Victor just wants to get his hands on her baby.
Sage will shout that Adam needs to go to Paris with Chelsea and start his new life. A short time later, Chelsea will echo that sentiment. Nevertheless, Adam will convince Chelsea that he needs a few more days to sort out the Victor situation. Adam just refuses let Victor defeat him. Will Adam’s victory come at a steep price? Will Adam even win at all? Y&R rumors hint that things could get tricky. Stick with the CBS soap to see if Adam can really beat Victor at his own game.
