“The Young and the Restless” spoilers are on fire. No one can stop talking about the identity of Det. Harding’s (Chris McKenna) secret accomplice on Y&R related social media. Everyone knows that dead (as of Monday, August 24) Det. Harding was working with Marco Annicelli (Peter Bergman) and by extension, Victor (Eric Braeden), but is there a mystery person involved that no one suspected? It is looking like the mystery man could be none other than Colin Atkinson (Tristan Rogers). And, since Tristan Rogers has been dropped to reccurring status on Y&R, it makes perfect sense to place all the blame on him. After all Tristan is headed to General Hospital so a dramatic end to his The Young and the Restless tenure, with either prison or death, fits the contractual facts that are out there.
On Thursday’s episode, Det. Harding urgently called someone and demanded they bring him a passport immediately so he could get away from Genoa City undetected. Now who is connected and sharp enough to be able to get a phoney passport ready in a trice? Yes – Colin Atkinson! Dylan (Steve Burton) walked in and heard his phone call, and confronted him about trying to skip town. It resulted in a showdown between Dylan, Det. Harding, and Paul (Doug Davidson), resulting in Paul fatally shooting Harding. Before he died he implied that he had another accomplice. As he was trying to confess to Dylan about his involvement, he passed away.
Meanwhile at the cabin, Victor, Jack (Peter Bergman), and Phyllis (Gina Tognoni) are trying to figure out the best way to make sure Marco doesn’t cause any more trouble for any of them. Victor decided that they should send him back to the Peruvian prison, where he found him. Marco didn’t want to go back and swore he’d return to take over Jack’s life once again. Victor and Jack swore they would never tell anyone about Marco’s involvement in the murders or any wrongdoings on their part. Victor told his men to make sure they would be able to tell Marco from Jack. In the helicopter, Marco had his ear chopped off before heading to prison.
Kevin (Greg Rikaart) is positive that it isn’t over it and CDL agrees with the Scooby Gang lead thinker. He thinks he is missing a link between Harding and another person. The link between Marco and Harding had to be Colin. He was blackmailing Devon (Bryton James) to sink money into the Paragon Project – a project that he feels will take Victor out of business. Only recently did Paragon become a big problem for Newman Enterprises – according to Victor, Paragon triggered and justified the entire Jack kidnapping and Marco reign of terror
It makes perfect sense that Colin would be the person behind Paragon, and the third accomplice in the murders and mayhem that have gripped Genoa City. Colin has always been the type of character that would do whatever he needed to in order to make big bucks. He has been part of a number of scams on the show, some which cost his son, Cane (Daniel Goddard), his position at Newman. Who do you think is the secret accomplice working with Harding and Marco? Could Colin be involved? Is Colin capable of murder? Tell CDL what you think in the comments below.
