The Young and the Restless spoilers are dwelling on a few clues that may lead us to the mystery person Victor Newman [Eric Braeden] has been plotting with in the confessional box at the hospital chapel the last few weeks. Please note that what we offer here is a theory and NOT a fact – read on at your own risk with an amble helping of caveat emptor! The latest Y&R rumors to be released are letting us in on a clue that Victor himself provides on the Monday March 30 episode. As The Mustache meets with this person of mystery again in the chapel, Victor mutters, “there will be big trouble if anyone finds out we know each other!”
For weeks, there has been speculation about who the unknown person meeting Victor in the chapel could be. We heard guesses naming everyone from Joe Clark [Scott Elrod], Austin Travis [Matthew Atkinson], Ben ’Stitch’ Russell [Sean Carrigan], Kyle Abbot [Lachlan Buchanan] Maureen Russell [Meredith Baxter] and even Ashley Abbott [Eileen Davidson] names floating around social media web sites. But after hearing this above statement from Victor’s own lips, we ask… can the person Victor is secretly working with be an “evil twin” of Jack Abbott [Peter Bergman]?!
We have been noticing lately that Jack as been having issues of ‘amnesia’. It all seemed to start the night Jack invited Kelly Andrews [Cady McClain] into the back stock room for some extra curricular activities at the Underground nightclub during the Valentine’s Day Party shortly before the roof collapsed. Could Jack’s evil twin be the guy that was unfaithful to Phyllis [Gina Tognoni] and enjoyed hot animalistic love-making with Kelly? The guy looked like Jack, sounded like Jack, but his actions were not typical of the Jack Abbott we have grown to know and love.
Could Victor have sent the faux Jack to test the waters with Kelly Andrews to see if he passed the identify test? Kelly was absolutely positive it was her former lover she made love with that night. The real Jack then had no recollection whatsoever that anything sexual took place with Kelly.
We are also hearing some others Young and the Restless spoilers and rumors that while Victor was in Switzerland a few months back, he had his DNA specialists work with Jack’s DNA to create a perfect match. Old Vic then hired someone willing to undergo plastic surgery to look exactly like Jack Abbott. This new Jack, this tool of Victor’s, will take all his orders and obey – just like Frankenstein’s monster (of course we all know what happened when that little experiment got out of control!) Victor will order Jack’s evil twin to work to undermine ‘good’ Jack and help bring a very profitable Jabot down to its knees – and Jack Abbott along with it! Naturally an evil twin Jack can be used to commit financial crimes, sully the real Jack’s reputation or even commit murder…. Of course there will be other elements that figure in Victor’s dastardly plot such as the “dead” Kelly.
Now before you naysay the Jack evil twin theory as being too far-fetched, recall that Victor has committed this precise type of maneuver in the past! Patti Williams was Jack’s crazy ex-wife and Paul Williams sister. Victor paid for Patti Williams’ plastic surgery before she appeared as a mystery woman, Mary Jane, to bring Jack down. Since Y&R most certainly used this trope before there is no good reason to say they might not have done so again.
