“The Young and the Restless” spoilers are in and the speculation is that newcomer Luca Santori (Miles Gaston Villanueva) could be related to someone on the show and could possibly even be Marco Annicelli’s (Peter Bergman) son. Luca’s casting call stated that he would have a connection with someone on the show, and related to a villain. Could the villain he is related to be Marco? Will Marisa end her marriage with Luca?
Last week, Noah (Robert Adamson) found out that Marisa was married to Luca. At first, they tried to hide they were married, but it became evident that they had a history together. Marisa wants nothing more than to get rid of her connection to him, so she can begin an honest life with Noah Newman.
Luca threatens that life, bringing with him, secrets and a life that she doesn’t want Noah to find out. When Noah found out they were married, he ended his relationship with Marisa. She was completely devastated by losing the one person she felt a connection to in Genoa City.
There is speculation that Luca could be Marco’s son. The casting call stated that he would have a relation to a villain – presumably Marco. It appeared for a few weeks that Marco was long gone. He was supposed to be in a Peruvian jail rotting away for the rest of his life, right? Wrong – what if he sent his son – or another possible family member – to continue his plot to step into Jack’s (Peter Bergman) again? Is it possible that Marco plans to escape prison only to try to get close to Phyllis (Gina Tognoni) again?
Luca is a new character, and his history can be written any way the scribe’s see fit. If Luca is Marco’s son, then Marisa had a relationship with both men. That wouldn’t be the first time that has happened on a soap opera – it just speaks volumes about her character (think Sharon Newman). If she deemed Luca to be such a bad person, why would she team up with the evil Marco?
Marisa stated that Luca was emotionally abusive. He would make her feel inferior and not worthy of his attention and love. She told him she left him for Marco because he was different, and at first he treated her well. She felt that Marco was everything she wanted, and more. Nowhere has anyone revealed what connection Marco had to Luca- only that he contacted him from his jail cell to bring Marisa home.
