“The Young and the Restless” spoilers for Monday, March 9, tease that several Genoa City residents could have trouble letting go of the past. At Crimson Lights, Ben (Sean Carrigan) will suggest that Victoria (Amelia Heinle) is bothered by the news of Billy’s (Burgess Jenkins) engagement, but Victoria will brush off his suspicions. Victoria will bring up Abby (Melissa Ordway) and how she’s being shunned. Ben will think Abby could use a good shunning, but Victoria will ask him to be kind to her.
Y&R spoilers and news indicate that Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) will argue with Billy about the engagement party Jack’s (Peter Bergman) planning. Billy will suggest they lose the stress and just elope, but Chelsea will say she wants a big family wedding. As Billy and Chelsea think about their upcoming marriage, Sage (Kelly Sullivan) and Adam (Justin Hartley) will discuss a divorce at the club. Adam will say that Sage wants to split because of Nick (Joshua Morrow), but Sage will respond that she’s giving Adam a chance to go after Chelsea before she ties the knot. Adam will convince her to stick to the plan, but Sage will lay down a few ground rules. Sage will tell Adam to show her some respect and refrain from commenting on her relationship with Nick. Adam will also have to deal with Chelsea and Billy’s engagement. Later, Chelsea will arrive and discuss her wedding plans with Sage. It will sound like Chelsea is having second thoughts, but she’ll insist that she just wants everything to be perfect. Chelsea will let Sage know that she wants her marriage to last this time.
Over at the Jabot lab, Ashley (Eileen Davidson) will have a conversation with Abby about her affair with Austin (Matthew Atkinson). Ashley will fear that Abby is going to follow her example of seeking out unavailable men and she’ll tell Abby that she should try to earn Summer’s (Hunter King) forgiveness. Ben will show up and Ashley will be suspicious of why he’s being so nice. Ben will bring up his discussion with Victoria and tell Abby that he thinks Austin was just using her to dig up dirt for an expose. Abby will counter that Austin wouldn’t use her like that and Ben will apologize.
Ashley will see Victoria a little later at Crimson Lights and she’ll thank her for her kindness towards Abby. However, talk will turn to their fragrance and things will get heated. Victoria will indicate that Victor (Eric Braeden) is really the one’s she’s angry with and Ashley will say that she’s not her father. Victoria will say that Ashley is close enough, but eventually they’ll call a truce. Victoria will meet up with Ben at the lab and they’ll discuss Austin’s shady documentary as well as Billy. If Ben wants their relationship to work, he’ll have to accept that Billy will always be a part of Victoria’s life.
At the cabin, Summer will see Austin’s reflection in the armoire mirror as she begins having flashbacks. Kyle (Lachlan Buchanan) will encourage Summer to try to remember more about what happened. Summer will recall confronting Austin about Abby as well as her holding the bookend in her hands. However, Summer will also remember that she dropped the bookend and picked it up after Austin was murdered. Kyle will listen as Summer realizes she didn’t do it and he’ll ask if Summer saw who hit Austin. Suddenly, Abby will arrive and tell Summer she’s sorry. Summer will slap her and blurt out that she’ll never forgive Abby.
Other “Young and the Restless” spoilers for Monday, March 9, reveal that Billy will talk to Adam/Gabriel about putting on an act for the estate lawyer, Mr. Tipton (David Purdham). Adam will indicate that it’s only an act for Sage and their conversation will turn to Billy’s plans for a short engagement. Billy will say he’s ready to get married soon and will ask Gabe to be his best man. Adam will suggest that he ask his brother, but Billy will insist that he wants the man who saved his life. Adam will accept and the pair will shake hands in agreement. Recent Y&R rumors say Gabriel’s true identity will be revealed soon enough and you can bet that Billy will be anything but agreeable then.
