“The Young and the Restless” spoilers are in and Sofia Pernas was bumped up from recurring status to full-time Y&R contract status, so Marisa Sierras is here in Genoa City to stay! Marisa Sierras (Sofia Pernas) is sticking around in Genoa City for another year, at least according to CBS Soaps In Depth in the October 5, 2015 edition. It isn’t surprising either; Marisa is deep in several storylines right now. How do you feel about Sofia Pernas sticking around Genoa City for another year?
Marisa was a HUGE part of the Marc Annicelli (Peter Bergman) storyline. She was an ex-lover that helped Jack (Peter Bergman) escape leading to him being reunited with his wife, Phyllis (Gina Tognoni). Once she and Jack found their way back to Genoa City, she decided to stay indefinitely.
To complicate things, Marissa began a relationship with super-rich boy toy, Noah Newman (Robert Adamson). At first, she used him as a distraction, but recently, Marisa has gotten pretty attached to him. Noah’s grandpa and business tycoon, Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) was not pleased with their involvement – for more than one reason. Victor was the person who brought Marco to town in a scheme to take over Jabot. Now, Marisa has way too much dirt on the big man, Victor – and he wants her out of HIS town.
Marisa isn’t going anywhere; she has her eyes set on Noah Newman. She wants the whole fairy tale life- and falsely believes that Noah is her ticket to happiness. Just when she thought, Victor would leave them alone, another complication arrives in town – her husband, Luca Santori (Miles Gaston Villanueva). Luca told Marisa he came for one reason, to win back her love.
Noah isn’t aware of the fact that Luca was her husband. When he showed up at The Underground, she told him that he was her friend’s husband. He revealed that her friend left him because he was emotionally abusive. It looks like the writers are setting up a love triangle between Noah, Marisa and Luca.
