‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers examine whether Austin could be alive and if so is he Courtney’s murderer? Y&R is currently running the entire show based around an improbable Fake Jack from a Peruvian prison so the idea that the TPTB on ‘The Young and the Restless’ could have a still alive and evil Austin is no stretch at all. Lets just make believe for a moment that Austin is still alive.
If Austin is still alive he has succeeded in driving several Newmans nuts with this whole charade. Starting with his spoiled wife Summer Newman. When Austin ‘died’ there was a bookend lying next to his ‘lifeless body’ and Summer blamed herself for his death for a month. Austin’s death also has followed Kyle Abbott around like curse, people suspecting he was Austin’s killer. Kyle had discovered Austin was sleeping with Abby Newman and he justifiably punched Austin out causing him to bleed in a confrontation.
Because of Austin’s revealing documentary on the Newman/Abbott hypocrisy and corruption the town of Genoa City is now discovering just how much he hated all that those two families stood for. The more things come to light the clearer we can see that Austin was using both Newman girls for his documentary, he married one and had an affair with another – Abby Newman.
Austin was threatened by Sharon Newman because of the interview she did with him while she was fighting for custody of her daughter Faith. Sharon told him about the ugly Sondra Allen family secret the Newman’s were keeping and then changed her mind about it and offered to give him money to erase the interview. Of course that just enraged Austin even more and wound up with him telling Sharon he couldn’t be bought off by the high and mighty Newmans!
Austin’s character and motivation have been a Y&R mystery from the very beginning – being a creepy cyber/bully stalker of Avery Clark, acting as her harmless camera man on her cooking show to kidnapping her and holding her hostage. Austin has proven on ‘The Young and the Restless’ that when his back is against the wall he is capable of lashing out in desperate ways which brings us to the question of what really happened to Courtney? Courtney was at the cabin when Austin’s ‘corpse’ was discovered and she pronounced him dead.
BUT did Austin take a drug that just slowed his heart rate to where it seemed he was dead… then when the Scooby Doo Gang carried him out to the snow he turned up missing because the drug wore off and he took off. By some nefarious plot or coincidence a young dark haired male resembling Austin ended up dead in a car in the ditch – so he planted all of his ID on him and left. When Summer Newman identified Austin at the morgue the male’s face was bloody and Summer was hysterical at the time so we have never believed she really saw his face and therefore might have identified a John Doe as Austin.
Remember Austin is hell bent on revenge and could be lurking behind the scenes, following all of the chaos he has created and the Y&R characters involved, adding threats and possibly planting evidence against Sharon amongst other ill deeds. Austin is very Computer savvy which leads us right to the police station the night Courtney was killed. Courtney saw something on surveillance on the computer at the police station and she was SHOCKED!! Did she see that Austin was alive? If so that was her death warrant and Austin her murderer.
Austin has become dark and desperate character capable of anything at this point, did he kill Courtney to shut her up ? In recent GCPD events Austin’s laptop has been stolen – did Austin go back to retrieve his laptop with EVERYTHING on it to finish smearing the Newman and Abbott names? Did our anti-hero fake his own death to punish Summer and all of the elite of GC plus gain the ability to operate evilly behind the scenes unsuspected? Does Austin have a partner in crime?
