The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Austin Travers Returns From the Dead – Matthew Atkinson Hints on Twitter?

The Young and the Restless spoilers examine the possibility that Austin [Matthew Atkinson] is alive and that Matthew may be hinting that his Y&R return is near! It is now almost mid-July and we have yet to find out who killed Austin and Courtney [Kelly Gross] otherwise known as the victims in The Cabin Killer storyline. The Cabin Killer story has been dragging on since Valentine’s Day 2015 yet at times it seems like this debacle of a story has been going on forever.

What really happened to Austin Travers? Y&R rumors say Austin will be back and that he is not dead. There are too many loose ends in this Austin mystery to simply accept that he’s dead and gone, beginning with the way he supposedly died. If viewers go back to that fateful day they will remember Austin was stuffed in the armoire at the Abbott Cabin. When the Scooby Doo Gang decided to cover up his murder to protect Princess Whiny Pants, Summer [Hunter King], they took Austin’s body outside, dumped it unceremoniously in the snow, and left it there.

When the geniuses went out to retrieve the body later on it was gone. The cops were finally called and they sent a search party out to find Austin. They came across a car in a snow bank that had crashed and the driver was a young dark-haired male. The corpse had blood all over his face but cops assumed they had found Austin and wanted Summer to come to the morgue to positively identify him. Viewers, go back to that episode when the morgue technician asks Summer to I.D. the corpse – the tech pulls the sheet off his face and Summer turns her head away with barely a glance and starts crying hysterically again (yes, we know, this is Hunter’s primary acting skill) and blurts out “yes that’s him I don’t need to see anymore” never actually looking at his face. This is another BIG clue that Austin is still alive.

Let’s fast forward to Austin’s supposed funeral, at this point Summer has yet to actually see his dead body. The funeral was a closed casket affair – still no one ever really identifying the John Doe in the casket was Austin. Sources close to Y&R have been leaking that as Kyle [Lachlan Buchanan] and Summer continue to get closer Austin will resurface, very much alive! He has been watching from afar.

Let’s move on to Courtney’s death – Courtney really is dead and sources tell CDL that we all know her killer. Courtney was reviewing surveillance video of Marco [Peter Bergman] and Victor [Eric Braeden] in Chancellor Park. Marco and Victor’s plan was still in its early stages and if anyone found out about it Marco’s chances at a new rich life would be blown out of the water. Marco sent warning after warning telling the Scooby Gang to stop digging but of course Courtney, being a cop, would not stop. Courtney saw too much as she was reviewing survellance tape of Chancellor Park. Marco murdered her at the GCPD then her body was taken to the Abbott Cabin put into the same armoire in which Austin’s body was found. Marco was trying to make it look like the same person killed both Austin and Courtney. Marco then tried to set Sharon Newman [Sharon Case] up for both murders – Marco Anicelli has always been two steps ahead and that is why he is on the FBI top 10 most wanted list.

CDL has come into some information that could prove helpful. CDL staff sent Matthew Atkinson a “Scooby Gang” meme with his picture on it in February when his character Austin was “killed off” – but what is interesting is Matthew just favoured the tweet of the Scooby Gang meme. Is this merely a HUGE coincidence that Matthew favoured the Scooby meme at precisely the same time Summer and Kyle are hooking up or is this is a GIANT hint? Rumors say Austin is suppose to come between Kyle and Summer – only time will tell for sure.

Stay tuned to Y&R and watch the Cabin Killer mystery finally unfold in full clarity this month. Don’t be surprised if an alive Austin is part of this conclusion. How do you feel CDL’ers, do you want to see Austin back from the dead? Please leave your thoughts and comments in the CDL comments below.
