“The Young and the Restless” spoilers tease that Dylan (Steve Burton) will help Sharon (Sharon Case) try to piece together the big murder mystery. Sharon fears that someone is trying to frame her, but who could it be? One theory is that Sage (Kelly Sullivan) is working for Victor (Eric Braeden) to keep Sharon out of Nick’s (Joshua Morrow) life. Sage conveniently showed up to help free Nick when he was caught in a bear trap and she’s been trying to worm her way into his life ever since. Now that Sage has declared that she’s done with her sham of a marriage, she’ll undoubtedly move forward with Nick. Why would someone as devious and greedy as Sage give up such a large inheritance? Perhaps Victor is paying her a pretty penny to ditch her deal with Gabriel/Adam (Justin Hartley) and focus on Nick.
“The Young and the Restless” viewers know that Victor is a master manipulator and Sage isn’t too shabby herself. Just look at how she’s manipulated Adam. Sage has convinced Adam that he’s the one who killed Delia (Sophie Pollono) and she’s been in control of their fake marriage from day one. It’s highly possible that Sage could be manipulating Nick as part of Victor’s orders. Victor would stop at nothing to keep Sharon away from Nick and sending her to prison would certainly do the trick. Many Y&R fans have noted that the mysterious black glove looks awfully feminine and the lipstick messages also seem to point to a woman. Maybe Sage is setting Sharon up to take the fall for both Austin (Matthew Atkinson) and Courtney’s (Kelli Goss) murders.
It’s possible that someone else did the cabin killings and Sage is just taking advantage of the opportunity to pin them on Sharon. However, no one would doubt that Sage could be capable of murder. Austin may have caught onto Sage’s scheme to seduce Nick when he was digging for the documentary. If Austin was threatening to tell the world that Victor hired Sage, she could have killed both Austin and Courtney to keep the news under wraps.
