“The Young and the Restless” spoilers for Friday, July 3, tease that Marisa (Sofia Pernas) will tell Gabriel (Justin Hartley) that Marco (Peter Bergman) is dead and she’s taking over. Marisa will say she knows that Gabe and Marco were in cahoots on the scheme to fake his death. Gabriel will reply that he was forced into it. Marisa will mention that she thinks Victor (Eric Braeden) is responsible for the Jack (Peter Bergman) swap. They’ll be hesitant to trust each other, but Gabriel will eventually agree to help.
Phyllis (Gina Tognoni) will spot Victor raising a pillow to smother Jack. Victor will insist that he was just trying to make Jack more comfortable. Phyllis will yell at Victor for shooting Jack, but he’ll deny it. When Victoria (Amelia Heinle) shows up, Phyllis will inform her that Jack pointed to Victor as the shooter. Phyllis will call Paul (Doug Davidson) to give him updates on Jack’s accusation, but he’ll say that he can’t make an arrest without evidence or a witness. Suddenly, Gabriel will appear at the police station and tell Paul that he saw Victor shoot Jack.
Ashley (Eileen Davidson) will let Abby (Melissa Ordway) and Stitch (Sean Carrigan) know that Victor is Jack’s suspected shooter. Abby will refuse to believe it and storm out. Stitch will think Ashley is making things hard on Abby because of her relationship with him. Ashley will get upset and talk about how the family feud is causing everything to fall apart.
When Ashley gets a little shaky, (is her aneurysm acting up?) Stitch will pull her close and help her into a chair. Ashley will hint that Stitch should track down Abby, but he’ll opt to stick around. When fireworks start, they’ll go outside to take a look. Ashley will gaze at Stitch as he takes in the view. It appears sparks are starting to fly for these two. Y&R rumors indicate that another fling is in the works for Ashley and Stitch.
Other “Young and the Restless” spoilers reveal that Victoria will wonder if Victor can really trust Gabriel. Abby will come in and demand to know if Victor shot Jack, but he’ll continue to deny it. Paul will stop by to make an arrest. At the police station, Victor will get immunity for Victoria before he makes a confession. Victor will declare that he shot in self-defense, but Paul will make it clear that Jack was unarmed.
Noah (Robert Adamson) will get Marisa a room at the athletic club and she’ll accept it on the condition that she’ll pay him back later. Marisa will also accept Noah’s invitation to the watch the fireworks. At the park, Lily (Christel Khalil) will surprise everyone by being forgiving of Cane (Daniel Goddard). Lily will also extend an olive branch to Hilary (Mishael Morgan) and Devon (Bryton James). Cane will happy that Lily is putting the past behind her and she’ll say she figures everyone makes mistakes.
Meanwhile, Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) will show up at the park with Connor (Michael and Nolan Webb). Noah will see Chelsea and introduce Marisa. Gabriel will arrive and they’ll pretend they’re meeting each other for the first time. Chelsea will pick up on the fact that Gabe’s acting nervous. Back at the hospital, Paul will come in Jack’s room to give Phyllis the news that Victor has been arrested. When Paul says Victor is claiming self-defense, Jack’s heart rate will go up. Phyllis will believe that Jack is showing them that Victor’s story is bogus. Stay tuned to the CBS soap to find out if Victor will pay for his crimes.
