“The Young and the Restless” spoilers for Monday, July 6, tease that Gabriel (Justin Hartley) will announce that there will be some big updates going on now that he’s in charge. Neil (Kristoff St. John) will say he can’t work under these circumstances. Neil will quit and urge everyone else to leave, too. Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) will try to stand up for Gabriel and say he’s helping his father. Billy (Burgess Jenkins) will mention his skepticism about Gabe being Jack’s (Peter Bergman) son, but Ashley (Eileen Davidson) will say the results of the DNA test proved it.
Victoria (Amelia Heinle), Nick (Joshua Morrow) and Abby (Melissa Ordway) will talk to Michael (Christian LeBlanc) about getting Victor (Eric Braeden) out of his Y&R current jam. Michael will admit that Victor could go to jail. Once Michael’s gone, Victoria will tell Nick that she covered for Victor. Nick will be shocked that Victoria knew what really happened and lied to the police.
Meanwhile, Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) will confront Victor at the police station. Nikki will be furious that Victor has been keeping her out of the loop yet again. When Nikki presses Victor for information on what went down with Jack, Victor will tell her she should leave. Michael will show up and ask about the gun that was used to shoot Jack. Victor will say he put it under a board at the stables. Once Michael departs, Nick will arrive to angrily question Victor about the shooting. Victor will continue to use his self-defense argument and he’ll ask Nick to keep the company from falling apart.
At Newman-Abbott, Gabriel will inform Victoria that Abby is taking over her position. Victoria will rant that Abby doesn’t have the qualifications, but Abby will be on board with the suggestion. Billy and Ashley will think she’s not ready, but Abby will insist that she’ll be a force to be reckoned with once she learns the ropes. Ashley and Billy will meet up with Victoria at the park at little later. They’ll agree that Gabriel needs to be brought down.
Nick will approach Gabriel and declare that he’s going to take back the company. They’ll argue and Nick will wonder why Gabe seems to have this vendetta against Victor when he hardly knows him. Gabriel will say that Nick fought Victor for so long, but now he’s getting pulled back in. At the police station, Michael will let Victor know there’s an offer on the table. Victor will try to shut him down, but Michael will encourage him to hear the terms of the plea bargain first.
Sharon (Sharon Case) will run into Joe (Scott Elrod) at the park and threaten to spray him with mace. Joe will argue that he didn’t hurt Avery (Jessica Collins), but Sharon will say she knows Avery wouldn’t lie about it. Joe will reply that Avery isn’t acting like herself and she’s just doing all this to get Dylan (Steve Burton) back. Joe will urge Sharon to talk to Dylan about it and see if he thinks Avery is lying.
Other “Young and the Restless” spoilers reveal Paul (Doug Davidson) will scold Dylan for beating up Joe. The confession wouldn’t have held up anyway. Paul will assure Dylan that they’ll catch Joe if he’s indeed the perpetrator. Meanwhile, Avery will have a chat with Lily (Christel Khalil). Lily will be stunned to learn Avery told Paul she slept with Joe. When Lily questions why, Avery will admit that Joe raped her and Paul needed all the details.
Later, Lily will rip into Joe for his disgusting actions. Joe will maintain his innocence and he’ll agree to keep quiet about their fling. At Crimson Lights, Dylan will let Avery know that the samples that were taken were inconclusive. As Avery begins to cry, Dylan will pull her close. Sharon will arrive just in time to spot them hugging.
Neil will go into Nikki’s suite to give her the news he quit his job. When Neil sees that Nikki has been drinking, he’ll try to take the bottle away from her. Nikki will pass out and Neil will call for an ambulance. Neil will say he believes Nikki has alcohol poisoning and he’ll try to revive her. Will Neil help Nikki get her life back on track? Y&R rumors indicate that these two are going to get awfully close as Nikki struggles to get better. Stay tuned to the CBS soap to find out if romance is in their future.
