Since Nicole Kidman divorced Tom Cruise and began a new family with Keith Urban, it is no secret that she has had a complicated relationship with Connor Cruise, the son she and Tom adopted together. Nicole has even acknowledged in interviews in the past that she barely talks to Connor, and general consensus is that their estrangement is over Tom’s Scientology beliefs. Tom Cruise did his best to keep ex-wife Nicole Kidman out of their children’s lives because she was adamantly against Scientology – and he wanted his children raised in the church.
According to a new report in the January 19th edition of OK! Magazine, Connor has been spending a lot of time with Nicole Kidman and his step-father, Keith Urban, and they are even collaborating on a song together. The magazine teases, “The young DJ wants to remix one of Keith’s songs and reached out to the musician to make sure he was on board with it. Keith was shocked, but more than anything he was flattered. Family is everything to Nicole and she has always wanted her son and Keith to have more of a bond.”
In 2014, Connor cruise was in the headlines because sources were reporting he was leaving Scientology and Nicole Kidman had encouraged him to go on a journey over the summer to “find himself.” Tom Cruise was obviously not pleased with his son branching away from their religion – or the fact that Nicole Kidman was encouraging him to do so. We can only imagine how furious Tom is with Connor Cruise’s new relationship with Keith Urban or the fact that they are bonding over their mutual passion, music.
