After a very public Twitter spat with Giuliana Rancic over the Zendaya dreadlock controversy, Kelly Osbourne has announced her intention to leave E!’s Fashion Police. Even though E!’s statement claimed that Kelly was leaving to pursue more opportunities, I think we all know the truth – it was either leave or get fired.
Anyway, the chatter has already turned to who will replace Kelly on The Fashion Police, and thankfully, Khloe Kardashian’s name hasn’t come up again after the recent spate of rumors yesterday. We don’t need another X Factor disaster, thank you very much. Nor do we need Khloe stumbling and mumbling her way through each dress critique – The Fashion Police isn’t Proust by any means, but the basic requirement is to be quick-witted and funny, neither of which Khloe can claim to be.
Anyway, VH1’s Gossip Table has suggested that NeNe Leakes, Chrissy Teigen, or Amber Rose are all on the shortlist to replace Kelly Osbourne. Apparently, E!’s looking to bring in some diversity to the very white [current slate] of The Fashion Police, and The Gossip Table’s sources add that the show has been so white for so long that they have to bring in somebody that will reflect a more accurate landscape of the US today.
Plus – NeNe Leakes, Chrissy Teigen, and Amber Rose? You can’t go wrong with any one of those names if publicity and ratings are what you’re looking for. Chrissy might be the most suitable choice, but NeNe leakes would definitely bring in her fair share of controversy and drama. And Amber Rose? Well, I guess her Twitter fights with the Kardashians worked, which is another factor that the Gossip Table points out.
