Amal Alamuddin Puts Law Career On Hold To Become A Celebrity Fashion Designer?

Is Amal Alamuddin giving up the law to become a celebrity fashion designer? Amal Alamuddin’s career as an International human rights lawyer has definitely seen it’s fair share of ups and downs. And that might be the reason why George Clooney’s wife is looking to switch gears and become a celebrity fashion designer instead.

Amal Alamuddin and George Clooney have long been considered Hollywood’s most fashionable couple. Amal Alamuddin’s red carpet looks always garner her positive reviews and that’s why some of the fashion world’s biggest designers are not only wanting to work with her, but bring her on to their team, too.

According to Britain’s Grazia Magazine, Oscar de la Renta’s creative director Peter Copping wants the British lawyer work with the fashion house as a co-consultant for their brand. But Amal Alamuddin be willing to throw away her law career to become a stylist? Wouldn’t that be a downgrade for someone who is as well-educated as Amal?

“Amal has long been obsessed with clothes, but she never considered working in the fashion industry. Since finding herself in the spotlight, she’s collaborated with designers who have created custom-made pieces, and had a very hands-on role,” says one source, adding, “She’s love to develop these working relationships further, but doesn’t want it to distract from her day job at Doughty Street Chambers. Her life is already one huge balancing act.”

Amal Alamuddin can deny the rumors all that she wants, but there’s no denying that she loves being George Clooney’s wife, and all of the attention that she’s gotten over the years because of it. After all, no one even knew who she was until George Clooney and Amal Alamuddin’s wedding back in 2014.

Before then, she was just another human rights lawyer with some very questionable clients, working in London and now she’s a Hollywood actor’s wife with dozen of stylists and fashion designers dying to work with her.

While there’s little chance that Amal Alamuddin will be trading in the courtroom for the runway anytime soon, there’s no doubt that ‘the Clooney effect’ has definitely helped her advance in her career. She wouldn’t have gotten all of the high-profile cases if it weren’t for her marriage, and that’s why so many people are calling Amal a ‘Kim Kardashian with a law degree.’

Tell us CDL readers what do you think? Would it be a smart idea for Amal Alamuddin to take a position with a fashion brand or should she stick to her day job as an International human rights lawyer? Drop us a line with your thoughts in the comments section below.
