Amal Alamuddin and George Clooney’s marriage looks perfect on the outside, but the inside no doubt tells a different story. There’s new speculation that Amal Alamuddin’s snob attitude might cause George Clooney to question his marriage after the actor was called a “trophy husband” by the media.
Amal Alamuddin and George Clooney’s marriage began like a fairytale when the couple tied the knot in a star-studded wedding in Venice almost two years ago. Since then, Amal Alamuddin has been by George Clooney’s side during each and every movie premiere, red carpet event and charity fundraiser.
Yet, many critics couldn’t help but notice that Amal Alamuddin was none too pleased when she was spotted cruising around Los Angeles on George Clooney’s motorcycle. In fact, she looked downright bored, irritated and displeased.
According to New York Magazine, Amal Alamuddin’s facial expression while riding George Clooney’s motorcycle is “the exact moment she realized she settled.” Obviously, a high-powered international human rights lawyer like Amal Alamuddin has better things to do than ride around in the Los Angeles heat while her husband George Clooney is doing what he loves most.
It’s evident that Amal Alamuddin agreed to George Clooney’s joyride simply to appease him, although she looked both bored and uncomfortable throughout their entire ride. Sure, Amal Alamuddin’s Stella McCartney wedges might have been cumbersome for her to wear, but she wasn’t about to sacrifice her style for her George Clooney’s motorcycle love.
Of course, the fact that George Clooney is being referred to as Amal Alamuddin’s “trophy husband” isn’t helping the couple’s marriage. In fact, it might even be humiliating for him. Even though Amal Alamuddin has often been referred to as George Clooney’s arm candy, it’s the Hollywood actor who has helped the British-born lawyer become a household name thanks to his popularity.
No one even knew who Amal Alamuddin was before she began dating George Clooney during their whirlwind romance in 2014. Calling George Clooney a trophy husband only indicates that Amal Alamuddin’s snob attitude is pretty transparent whenever the couple is seen in public. George Clooney might be the Hollywood star, but Amal Alamuddin is the star of their relationship, at least in her own mind.
