The Bates Motel season 4 finale episode did not disappoint, but it did leave us with Bates Motel Season 5 spoilers questions. Is Norma Bates (Vera Farmiga) alive or dead – was Norman (Freddie Highmore) dreaming, hallucinating – what really happened?
In the last episode of Bates Motel season 4 we witnessed Norman completely losing any sense of reality in that he believed that mother was still alive even though he witnessed her burial and exhumed her body.
We know that Norman was struggling to get a grip on reality, is Norma’s death real or just another one of his blackouts?
Will the Bates Motel writers stay true to the original psycho and we’ll find mother Norma really dead when Bates Motel returns for the season 5 premiere. Will Norman’s mother be at the piano – is this the mother that Norman has made up in his mind?
We were led to believe that at the very end of the finale episode that Norman actually finally realized that his mother was really dead, but is she?
There are Bates Motel season 5 spoilers and Internet rumors that Norma is not going anywhere and Vera Farmiga will be back. In that case, will the writers stay true to the original Psycho or will they change up the story line and try to extend it to be able to go beyond season 5 and ride on the success of the series?
One thing is for sure, Bates Motel took us on one heck of a ride these past four seasons with an outstanding cast and season 4 was the best yet!
