Brad Pitt has been cleared of any wrongdoing and child abuse accusations on board a flight that took place from Paris to Minneapolis back in September. Previous reports indicated that the Hollywood actor allegedly got into an altercation with his 15-year-old son Maddox Jolie-Pitt while on board the plane. The fight prompted Angelina Jolie to pull the plug on their marriage by filing divorce papers one week after the incident.
Sources say that the FBI has concluded their investigation, putting Brad in the clear. According to Us Weekly, the FBI released a statement that said, “In response to allegations made following a flight within the special aircraft jurisdiction of the United States which landed in Los Angeles carrying Mr. Brad Pitt and his children, the FBI has conducted a review of the circumstances and will not pursue further investigation. No charges have been filed in this matter.”
Previous reports indicate that the FBI was looking into child abuse allegations after sources claimed that Brad made some sort of physical contact with Maddox during a heated fight between the two.
Earlier this month, the Los Angeles County Department of Children and Family Services cleared Brad of child abuse allegations. The DCFS concluded that while an argument allegedly ended with physical contact, Brad Pitt did not commit child abuse on the plane.
Angelina Jolie pulled the plug on the couple’s two-year marriage soon after the plane incident took place. Citing “irreconcilable differences,” she and Brad are now fighting for custody of their six children, which also includes 12-year-old Pax, 11-year-old Zahara, 10-year-old Shiloh and 8-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne.
Angelina currently has full custody of the kids after claims were made that the actor poses a threat to their children with his temper, alcohol and substance abuse problems.
Sources say that it was the plane incident that was the last straw for the Hollywood actress. Many insiders close to the ex-couple claim that Angelina’s parenting style clashed with Brad’s and she had enough of his temper and outbursts in front of the kids.
The actress had a more carefree approach to her kids while Brad was worried that they lacked the discipline, rules and stability that he grew up with as a child.
So far neither Brad nor Angelina have made any comments about the FBI case to the public. Now that Brad has been cleared by the FBI, do you think Brad Pitt is going to fight for full custody of his kids? Drop us a line with your thoughts in our comments section.
