Briana Renee of Little Women LA has moved past the domestic violence accusations against Matt Ericson and the couple has renewed their vows. Briana announced she is pregnant with the couple’s first baby.
The reality television star shared a photo on Instagram of her pregnant belly. “I am not yet able to hold you, but you already hold my heart. #babyBriatt #comingsoon #boyorgirl?” Briana said in her post.
There was an outpouring of love mixed with concern following Briana’s baby news. “I want to say a huge thank you for all the overwhelming love and support over our baby news!! Baby Briatt is due in July, and s/he already owns our hearts! I know so many are dying to find out boy or girl but stay tuned because that will come soon.”
Not long ago Briana Renee and Matt Ericson were on the brink of divorce because of domestic violence in Matt’s past. Friends and Little Women LA co-stars were concerned for Briana’s safety and begging her to leave Matt.
Obviously Briana didn’t listen to all the naysayers. Not only didn’t Briana dump Matt, the reality television star reaffirmed her commitment to Matt with a ‘Ride Or Die’ wedding vow renewal that was featured on Little Women LA.
The court documents that caused Briana to consider divorcing Matt came from Washington’s Thurston County Superior Courts. On July 17, 2012 Matt grabbed an unnamed woman by the throat and pushed the woman against a wall. He was arrested but released on $2,500 bail the next day.
A domestic violence no-contact order was issued forcing Matt to remain a minimum of 600 feet away from the victim’s home, school and workplace. The case never went to trial because Matt agreed to complete a one year treatment program.
How can Briana Renee continue to ignore Matt Ericson’s violent past? Are Briana and her unborn baby safe from Matt’s anger issues? Did treatment really help Matt with anger issues or is he still abusive? Will the marriage last much longer?
Friends and family are still concerned about Briana’s safety and are waiting to see what happens to the marriage. The vow renewal may have been a turning point in their relationship. Maybe Matt has really changed and the couple can move forward with their happily ever after.
