Casey Anthony is guilty of murdering her daughter Caylee Anthony says her former bodyguard. Casey Anthony returned to her Orlando home after Judge Stan Strickland released Anthony on $500,000 bond. Rob Dick was assigned as Anthony’s bodyguard and the bounty hunter revealed that he believes Anthony was guilty of murdering her 2-year-old daughter Caylee Anthony.
The bodyguard spoke with ‘Allegedly’ hosts Theo Von and Matthew Cole Weiss about his time living with Anthony and her parents, protecting them from the thousands of protesters and the media frenzy surrounding the family home. Rob Dick described his time with the Anthony family was “surreal.”
Rob Dick was asked several questions about his work as a bounty hunter and the conversation quickly turned to the case of Casey Anthony and if he thought Anthony was guilty of murdering Caylee Anthony.
During the ‘Allegedly’ interview the bodyguard revealed that being involved with the Anthony case was the most insane experience of his life. Dick was hired not only to protect Anthony from the protesters outside the home, but also to ensure Anthony would not harm herself or flee the jurisdiction.
It was puzzling to Rob Dick that Anthony’s behavior was not normal for a mother whose child who had been missing for approximately 60 days at that point. “[Casey Antony] was just completely happy, excited to see her parents. She asked, ‘What’s for dinner? Jail food sucks.’
The bodyguard and bounty hunter revealed, Anthony appeared not to care about Caylee’s whereabouts at all. Rob Dick told the ‘Allegedly’ hosts that one would think the first question Anthony would have asked was, “Have you heard anything?’
Theo and Von and Matthew Coles Weiss asked Dick if he thought Anthony was guilty of murdering 2-year-old Caylee. “Yes, without a doubt. I think everybody knew she did it.” Except for 12 jurors assigned to decide if Anthony was guilty of first-degree murder, aggravated manslaughter and aggravated child abuse. They were also entrusted with the task of determining if Anthony gave false information to law enforcement officers.
That 12-person jury obviously didn’t think Anthony murdered her daughter Caylee Anthony. The jury acquitted Anthony in the murder case. They did find her guilty of four counts of misdemeanor of giving false information to a law enforcement officer. Anthony was sentenced to one year in county jail and $1,000 in fines for each of the four misdemeanor counts.
The judge ordered the four sentences to run consecutively and gave Anthony credit for time served. At the time of the ruling Anthony had already been in jail for three years. With time, off for good behavior, Anthony was released on July 17, 2011.
