Will Chase McNary be the next Bachelor? Jojo Fletcher’s Bachelorette 2016 finale hasn’t even aired on ABC yet, and already Bachelor Nation has moved on and is more worried about who will be the next Bachelor, rather than Jojo’s final rose recipient. The Season 21 Bachelor seems to be narrowed down to Jojo’s most recent castaways, Luke Pell and Chase McNary.
The Bachelorette fans are absolutely in love with Luke Pell. He’s a war veteran, a gentleman, good-looking, a Texan, and he wears his heart on his sleeve. ABC seems to be pretty keen on Luke Pell being the next Bachelor too. Mike Fleiss has certainly taken an interest in Luke on social media, and Chris Harrison gave him the whole “Are you ready to find love again” spiel on the “Men Tell All” episode.
However, if you ask Chase McNary, he has basically been offered the Bachelor gig and is just taking some time to decide if he wants it. Really? Does ABC know this? Chase sat down for an interview with Entertainment Tonight after he was eliminated from The Bachelorette, and the rather confident contestant all but announced he was the 2017 Bachelor.
When Entertainment Tonight asked Chase McNary about whether or not he had been invited to be the next Bachelor, Chase dished, “The discussions are there … But I don’t know — there’s a lot of weight there. There [are] a lot of expectations, and I’m not scared of it … but I definitely want to make the smart decision and the right decision before I totally accept that position.”
We’re a little bewildered as to why ABC would choose Chase McNary as the next Bachelor. One of two things may have happened: Chase has a case of wishful thinking going on, or maybe Luke turned down the gig so the producers approached Chase instead.
What do you guys think? Did ABC really ask Chase to be the next Bachelor? Would you prefer it was him or Luke Pell? Or another one of Jojo Fletcher’s exes? Let us know what you think in the comments below and don’t forget to check CDL daily for all of your Bachelorette 2016 spoilers and news.
