Chris Brown is currently involved in a standoff with police following an alleged assault. According to a Fox News report, the Los Angeles Police Department is currently outside rapper Chris Brown’s home as they are waiting for a search warrant to be issued. The rapper has locked himself inside his home, refusing to leave.
The LAPD standoff stems from allegations from a woman who claims that Chris Brown pulled a gun on her. The woman has been identified by TMZ as Baylee Curran, Miss California Regional 2016. Curran alleges that while hanging out at Chris Brown’s house, she was admiring a piece of jewelry he had when suddenly Brown freaked out and pulled a gun, demanding that she leave and sign a non-disclosure agreement.
Baylee Curran then called the police and told them about the gun. The alleged victim told TMZ that Brown was under the influence of drugs and alcohol. Following her report, the LAPD showed up at Brown’s house at 3:00 a.m. this morning and a standoff ensued.
After posting a series of denials of the allegations on his social media, the singer idiotically threw a duffel bag out the window at the cops yelling “Come and get me.” The duffel contained at least one gun and other weapons as well as drugs.
Today’s incident is not the first time Chris Brown has clashed with police. Back in 2009, he was sentenced to five years of probation for beating his then-girlfriend Rihanna. In 2013, he hit a man outside of a hotel, resulting in a charge for misdemeanor assault. Following the assault, he attended court-ordered rehab but was kicked out of treatment for failure to comply.
He then spent two and a half months in custody. In January of this year, a woman alleged that Chris Brown hit her and took her cellphone, but no charges were filed.
Considering his past violent criminal behavior, and that both weapons and drugs have been found on the scene, there is little doubt that Chris Brown is now facing jail time for his latest antics.

Update: Chris Brown has been arrested for assault with a deadly weapon, a felony, and is in jail. CDL will keep you updated as this case unfolds. Given Brown’s criminal record there should be no possibility of him getting out jail on bail given this latest felony arrest.
