Was Christina Aguilera fired from The Voice – or did she quit because of her feud with Gwen Stefani? There are a ton of rumors floating around about Season 11 of The Voice on NBC. So far the only cemented news we can confirm is that Christina Aguilera and Pharrell Williams are out, and the new line-up of judges for next season will be: Blake Shelton, Adam Levine, Alicia Keys, and Miley Cyrus.
It seems a little strange after all of the drama Christina Aguilera created just to come back to The Voice, she would leave on her own accord after one season. General consensus among Voice fans is that Christina was fired because of her constant problems with Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani, or “pushed out” by veteran star Shelton.
The strange thing is – Gwen Stefani didn’t get her coach position back, instead it went to Miley Cyrus. You would think that if Christina was fired because of Gwen, it would be because Gwen is receiving her chair.
Interestingly enough, there is no news on whether or not Gwen will appear on Season 11 as an advisor again. Another possibility is that Christina Aguilera gave TPTB at the show an ultimatum, either Gwen goes or she goes. They decided to keep Gwen on as an advisor for Blake Shelton’s team, so Christina Aguilera made good on her promise and walked.
Regardless of how it all went down – we’re pretty sure Christina’s firing or quitting had something to do with Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani, however nothing concrete has been produced by the media as of yet. Did Christina campaign to give her chair to Miley Cyrus, just so that Gwen Stefani didn’t get it?
Or maybe Gwen didn’t want to coach, she would rather be her boyfriend’s advisor? Let us know what you think is the real reason behind Christina Aguilera leaving The Voice in the comments below!
