“Days of Our Lives” (DOOL) spoilers tease that Jennifer (Melissa Reeves) will continue to battle her addiction to painkillers on this week’s episodes. It appears things are only getting worse for Jen. Her back is still achy from the car accident and now she’s dealing with added stress, too.
JJ (Casey Moss) recently joined the police force and he’s already been involved in a shootout where he risked his life.
As for Abigail (Kate Mansi), she married into the DiMera family and she’s quite possibly going insane. Plus, Jen is having a difficult time getting rid of Abigail’s old stuff at home. In other words, Jennifer is feeling anxious, helpless and alone. That’s not a great combination for someone who’s addicted to drugs.
DOOL spoilers indicate that Jennifer will begin popping pills even more often. This addiction is slowly overtaking Jen’s life, but she doesn’t know how to stop. “Days” fans know that Lucas (Bryan Dattilo) tried to help Eric (Greg Vaughan) kick his drinking habit. However, it looks like Jennifer could use Lucas’ support as well.
“Days of Our Lives” spoilers reveal that Lucas will find Jennifer in a terrible state. She’ll be all drugged up and completely out of it. Lucas will decide to stay with Jen and make sure she’s OK. Lucas has first-hand experience with addiction and he won’t want Jennifer to go down that road. Unfortunately, it could be too late for Jen to turn back.
Jennifer may need to hit rock bottom before she truly seeks professional assistance. Of course, Abigail’s problems won’t make the situation any easier. There’s a good chance Abigail will either be presumed dead by mistake or carted off to a mental institution.
Neither option is something Jennifer needs to go through right now.
Jen might think she needs her pills more than ever by the end of all this. Let’s hope Lucas and a few other loved ones will intervene if necessary. In the meantime, DOOL viewers are raving about Melissa Reeves’ performance. Reeves is doing a fantastic job as she takes us on Jennifer’s heartbreaking journey.
