Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers tease that a battle is underway between Jennifer (Melissa Reeves) and Chad (Billy Flynn). Once Jennifer realized Chad was falling apart, she urged him to hand over Thomas. When Chad wouldn’t budge, Jennifer turned to Doug (Bill Hayes) and Julie (Susan Seaforth Hayes) for guidance.
After talking it over, Jennifer determined that she wanted to sue for custody. However, Chad intends on fighting back. Days of Our Lives spoilers indicate that Chad will ask Belle (Martha Madison) for some help. He’ll want to be prepared if Jennifer truly goes through with her plans.
Things are undoubtedly a little awkward for Chad and Belle thanks to their brief history. DOOL viewers will remember that Andre (Thaao Penghlis) brainwashed Chad and convinced him to seduce Belle in hopes of getting the DiMeras’ fortune back. Salemites tend to forgive and forget quickly though. It shouldn’t matter too much.
Belle will likely be willing to assist Chad, but she might suggest that they should try to avoid court if possible. There’s no need in making this a messy custody war if they don’t have to. Of course, Chad and Jennifer haven’t had much luck working it out so far. They have very different opinions on what’s best for Thomas.

Chad is completely devastated over Abigail’s (Kate Mansi) presumed death. There’s no denying that he’s in a dark place.
Chad has been having major outbursts as well as what looked like a panic attack. Jennifer is worried about her grandson and she wants him to have some stability. It could be dangerous if Chad continues down this gloomy path.
Nevertheless, Days watchers can’t ignore Jennifer’s recent issues. She’s off drugs now, but her recovery is still quite new. That could present a problem when it comes to Jen’s efforts to sue for custody, but Chad doesn’t need to be concerned about Thomas’ welfare. Doug and Julie will be there to pitch in. Thomas would definitely be loved and cared for in the Horton house.
On the other hand, no one should expect Chad to just act like nothing happened. As Chad hinted, he can’t pretend that everything is “hunky-dory.” Chad’s life isn’t exactly full of sunshine, butterflies and rainbows. Times are tough, but focusing on Thomas is what’s keeping Chad afloat.
There’s no predicting how far Chad will sink without Thomas in his home. It seems we’ll get a chance to find out how Chad will react. Days of Our Lives spoilers reveal that Chad will eventually cave in. Jennifer will take Thomas for a while and that could mean bad news for Chad’s mental state.
