Days of Our Lives Spoilers: Hope Struggles in Prison – Marlena’s Lookalike Pops Up, Hattie Serves as Protector

Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers tease that Hope (Kristian Alfonso) will try to accept her fate. Judge Fitzpatrick (Marsha Clark) was somewhat sympathetic to Hope’s plight, but it wasn’t enough to get her off the hook. The judge knocked down the charge to second degree murder, but she gave Hope the maximum sentence.

Now Hope expects to serve 25 years without the possibility of parole. Of course, Days watchers know Hope won’t actually be in prison for that long. This is just a way for DOOL to give the murder storyline some closure and provide another interesting plot in the process.

Days of Our Lives buzz hints that Hope should be out in a few months. That’s plenty of time for Hope to face jailhouse drama. Convicted cops aren’t exactly loved in the slammer. It’s worth mentioning that this isn’t Hope’s first rodeo. She’s been in prison before and it didn’t go well.

DOOL spoilers indicate that Hope will run into trouble during this stint, too. She’ll find herself tackling danger right from the start. Some rowdy inmates will add to Hope’s misery. Fortunately, Hope will come across a familiar face. She should have some assistance soon.

Many Days of Our Lives fans will remember that Marlena (Deidre Hall) has a lookalike named Hattie. She’s a little rough around the edges, but it seems she’ll take pity on Hope. Hattie undoubtedly runs the show in the state pen. She’ll serve as Hope’s protector and offer advice on how to survive this ordeal.

It’s a good idea for Days to take this route. Since Drake Hogestyn was injured and missed several months of filming, John suddenly dropped off canvas. There wasn’t enough time to put together a real exit. DOOL will probably just ignore John for a while, which means Marlena needs a story that doesn’t involve her true love.

Marlena can still hang out with friends and family members, but it should be nice for Hall to play around with something else. Hattie will add some fun to Hope’s somber storyline. Viewers tend to complain when things get too dark, so including Hattie is the perfect solution.

As Hope tries to press on, Rafe (Galen Gering) will worry about how she’s doing. He’ll pay Hope a visit or two, but he’ll mainly focus on getting her out of there. Roman (Josh Taylor), Shane (Charles Shaughnessy) and Steve (Stephen Nichols) will do whatever they can to help.

The gang can’t get the decision reversed overnight. Hope is heading into the holiday season without her loved ones. Thanksgiving and Christmas are going to be tough with Hope behind bars. Ciara (Vivian Jovanni) will try to make the best of the Hope-less holidays with the rest of the family.

How will Hope gain her freedom? What kind of plan will Rafe come up with? We’ll give you updates as other news comes in. Stay tuned and don’t forget to check CDL often for the latest Days of Our Lives spoilers, updates and news.
