Was Robert Pattinson trying to avoid an awkward run-in with Kristen Stewart at the New York Film Festival this week? That’s what both critics and fans can’t help but wonder as the ex-lovers apparently made quite an effort to avoid each other on the red carpet while they were promoting their latest films.
Of course, there’s also speculation that Robert’s fiancée, FKA Twigs, might have given her future husband strict orders to stay away from Kristen, knowing how manipulative the actress can be. After several reports stated that Robert and FKA Twigs were going through a rough patch and might have even broken up this summer, the couple has been spotted on numerous occasions in both New York City and L.A. in recent weeks. Even though they are yet to set a date for their upcoming wedding, FKA wants the world to know that they are still together – for now, at least.
It’s without a doubt that FKA Twigs was feeling absolutely worried about seeing Robert bump into or possibly even hang out with his ex-girlfriend at the film festival. While two exes can definitely be friends once their relationship is over, Kristen is one ex-lover that simply can’t be trusted. After all, this is the same person who cheated on Robert and broke up her director Rupert Sander’s family over their scandal.
If that weren’t enough, Kristen also allegedly cheated on her ex-girlfriend Alicia Cargile with her new lover, St. Vincent, who was supposedly dating model Cara Delevingne earlier this year. Sure, Kristen might pretend to hate the media and the paparazzi, but she also caters to them whenever she’s out and about with her new lovers. Kristen loves to manipulate the press while also showing off her new partners, all in hopes that she could incite a little jealousy. FKA Twigs has every reason to be suspicious of Kristen, and that’s why she probably ordered Robert to stay as far away from her as possible at the New York Film Festival.
