“General Hospital” (GH) spoilers tease that Anna Devane’s (Finola Hughes) life will be at risk on this week’s episodes and it may be thanks to Carlos Rivera (Jeffrey V Parise). As if Carlos hasn’t wreaked enough havoc on Anna’s life already, will he now threaten to take her life?
The car accident that occurred in the last moments of cliffhanger on Friday’s episode was an opportunity for Carlos to break away from the PCPD thanks to an assist from dirty DA Paul Hornsby (Richard Burgi). But once Carlos is free, General Hospital spoilers as where can he go?
Plus, we have to wonder if Carlos in injured. If he is and Griffin Munro (Matt Cohen) is hanging at Anna’s house, that’s a perfect place for Carlos to hide out since he’d have a hostage and a doctor. There’s really no one else in Port Charles that would hurt Anna, right?
Even Julian Jerome (William deVry) wouldn’t go after Anna despite her pursuing justice for the killing of Duke Lavery (Ian Buchanan). So who could it be that puts Anna at risk? Carlos seems to be the only candidate.
Also of interest is that GH spoilers tease that Paul will be the one to recapture Carlos, but why would he do that? The only way Paul would willingly round up Carlos is if witnesses are present and he has no choice but to put on his white hat and play good-guy officer of the court.
If Paul finds Carlos at Anna’s place, and the choice came down to Anna’s safety versus Carlos’ freedom, Paul might very well take Carlos down. Realistically, though, given the opportunity, Paul would probably put a bullet in Carlos rather than arrest him.
That would be the safest outcome for both Paul and Julian. And while it seems insane that Carlos would brazenly enter the home of the woman who hates him most, if Carlos was desperate enough, he’d do it. Plus, he’s pretty cocky and might think he can outmaneuver Anna.
But if it came down to it, would Carlos really hurt Anna? He might. Consider how he broke out of jail… Carlos caused an accident that left Jason Morgan (Billy Miller), Nathan West (Ryan Paevey) and Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) in dire shape and the red shirt driver likely dead.
How would Anna deal with Carlos taking her hostage and forcing her to help him evade justice? Would she shoot him again? Carlos has plenty of hatred of his own against Anna since she tried to gun him down last year when he was unarmed.
To Carlos, killing Duke was just business – but what Anna did to him was extremely personal. And she “killed” him just a he found out he and Sabrina Santiago (Teresa Castillo) were having a baby. Anna and Carlos have equal hatred for one another so that would make this scenario very dangerous.
