Hot General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Ava Jerome (Maura West) is backed into a corner by Lucy Coe (Lynn Herring) and she’s terrified that the busybody turned real-estate agent will rat her out to Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) and scrambles to try and save herself.
Ironically, both Sonny and Ava are in the same position right now. Both blame themselves for Morgan’s death and both are struggling with insurmountable guilt. The difference is, Sonny will be exonerated in the eyes of most people because Jason Morgan (Billy Miller) has proof the hit was called off.
Ava, on the other hand, is 100% guilty. The only thing saving Ava from the wrath of Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) and Sonny is that Lucy has no clue what she has in her hands. Lucy thinks that Ava and Morgan Corinthos (Bryan Craig) had resumed their affair and that’s what Ava is hiding.
Lucy thinks that Ava had Morgan’s medicine bottle because they were lovers once again. Unfortunately, Ava couldn’t get her to hand them over. Next week, Ava goes to Scotty Baldwin (Kin Shriner) to beg for his help. Since Scotty and Lucy are bed buddies, Ava thinks he can influence her.
Scotty knows just how deep that Ava is in this mess and that Sonny would kill her if he knew she messed with the meds. Scotty doesn’t want Ava killed because she’s a source of income for him – and he has a certain strange friendship with her. Plus Scotty hates Sonny.
If it was up to Scotty, Sonny would be locked up, so he has no sympathy for him. In fact, Sonny and Scotty just brawled at The Haunted Star and Scotty told Sonny that Morgan’s death is karma for what he did to Scotty’s daughter Karen Wexler. There is no love lost there.
On Ava’s behalf, Scotty will talk to Lucy and try to get her to back down. He might try to find out where she’s hidden the bottle of fake pills. The fact that Scotty is asking about the meds raises Lucy’s suspicions. Lucy will wonder why Ava is going to great lengths to get the pills back.
Since Lucy promised to keep quiet about Ava’s “affair” with Morgan, that should be enough, right? If Scotty isn’t careful with how he approaches Lucy, he could give away that Ava is hiding much more than an ill-advised affair with a much-younger man that wasn’t even happening.
The real problem is that Ava might take things into her hands and take care of Lucy. Just as Ava broke into Paul Hornsby’s (Richard Burgi) and ransacked it looking for her taped confession, she might break into Lucy’s place to find the bottle of pills.
But if Ava is really concerned, she might decide she needs to “take care” of Lucy in a permanent way. Ava swears she’s out of the mob life, but it would be easy enough for her to have someone push Lucy off the pier. If not, Ava is capable of taking care of Lucy personally like when she shot Connie Falconeri.
As guilty as Ava feels about what she did to Morgan, she’s not one to sacrifice herself for others. Lucy had better watch out. Lucy knows that Ava is a murderer, so it’s not clear why she dares to tangle with the former lady mob boss.
