General Hospital (GH) spoilers indicate that Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) and Nelle Hayes (Chloe Lanier) have a much deeper connection than anyone even realized. There has been a lot of speculation on gh spoilers and social media since Nelle arrived in town about who she really is and what she really wants.
On Recent General Hospital episodes Bobbie Spencer (Jacklyn Zemen) has been observing how close Nelle is to Carly and how involved she is in her life. Bobbie isn’t the only one who is suspicious of Nelle, General Hospital spoilers reveal this week that Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) also begins to question Nelle’s motives.
Nelle has been making herself too available to the Corinthos family, especially for Sonny (Maurice Benard) and his tiny daughter, Avery; and people are beginning to notice. She voices her concern for him, and has begged his family to help him – but what if she is one of the reasons Sonny is going off the rails. Sonny may be drinking heavily and mourning the death of his baby boy, but he is acting more erratic than he has in years.
Remember John Durant (Corbin Bernsen), Carly’s biological father? John Durant hated Sonny Corinthos with a passion, but got a long quite well with Jasper “Jax” Jacks (Ingo Rademacher). General Hospital fans will remember watching him die in Carly’s arms, after they were involved in a shootout with Manny Ruiz (Robert Lasardo) in 2006.
There was no mention of Durant’s life outside of the FBI; no one in Port Charles knew if he was married or had a family, so it is entirely possible that Nelle is his biological daughter too. If the saying, “blood is thicker than water” is true, it would explain why there was an instant, deep and protective connection between Carly and Nelle, at least through Carly’s eyes.
This may also be why Jax was acting so shady when Nelle arrived in town. Jax is a very shrewd businessman, with a lot of connections. General Hospital spoilers say it is very possible that when John died in Carly’s arms, he investigated John and found that he had another daughter, Nelle.
Perhaps this sister of Carly (likely half-sister) was motherless as well, and Jax made sure she ended up with a new family; not realizing the horrible life Nelle would really end up living.
General Hospital sources show Nelle is having a very hard time with Bobbie; Nelle really isn’t spending time trying to convince Bobbie that her intentions are good. Bobbie may be a former nurse, but she is also ‘street’ smart, and she believes things are far darker than they appear.
Nelle may be holding a deep resentment towards Carly for the death of their father, and who knows what Nelle has in store for Carly, Sonny and their entire family.
